This has been great for my 3 year old to practice writing her alphabet before she starts preschool next year. It has upper and lowercase pages as well as numbers 1-10. The pages have dotted lines for them to trace using the tiny arrows to guide the correct letter formation. This is a very big deal for teachers that kids start to learn the formation correctly (never start from the bottom and go up etc.). The size of letters start out large and then get smaller toward the back of the book. It does have a lot of empty dotted line pages after they have mastered the tracing pages. Overall, it is a good practice book even for my kindergarten and first grade kids that both had 2 years of preschool and still need to keep practicing correct letter formation.
