The book contains all the information I was looking for and then some.
GREAT PICTURES AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND.
I developed an interest in crystals this summer, and checked the book out of the county library. I wanted to have this book in my personal library, and the Walmart website had the best price for it. It is an excellent book which lists crytals alphabetically, and is easy to use as a beginner.

I love every detail of this book!
This is definitely a "go to" book to help identify stones and learn their metaphysical properties. The book isn't all inclusive of every type of rock and mineral there are in the world, but it does have over 200 of the more popular ones. (Crystal Bibles 2 and 3 list over 200 additional ones in each of them.) This book contains a section that explains how different crystals are formed. It also has a glossary of terms and a quick reference guide that includes uses of crystals for healing and placement of certain crystals for the Chakra.
