This game is by far the best game I have ever played. I bought it for the 360 the night it came out. I've put over 35 hours into it (it would be WAAAY more if I didn't have to work..) and so far I have encountered only one glitch.. which was minor and I'm sure will be fixed in a patch soon. And I know some people are picky about glitches but this game is HUGE. And I think the sheer awesomeness of this game outweighs one easily fixable glitch. The game itself has so much to it. You can create your own character (like with most Elder Scrolls games). And the characters look far better than they did in Oblivion. The map is huge and there are so many things to discover. You can do main story quests, side quests, and random objectives. And even the NPC's are more interactive and "lifelike." You'll randomly encounter assassins, soldiers, DRAGONS. I'm blabbing on and on, but really.. It's a great game for any gender and any age (as long as you're MATURE, because you know.. that's the crowd the game is rated for.) Anyways, having said all of that.. I would absolutely recommend it. BUY IT!
While this game is rated for mature players, my daughter approved it for my 9 year old grandson because he'd played it on his uncle's computer and the violence (she says) is against mythical creatures and on cartoons, so less offensive than other M rated options. The boy is calling this his favorite gift. It was priced at half what some other online sellers asked for it, and it arrived on time and in new/working condition.
I bought this as a gift. The price in the store was 59.99. On the site to store it was 34.99. Not sure why there was such a price difference. There was no shipping charge. The website said it would take 4 hours to process. I received a text within an hour of ordering and it was ready to pick up. Very easy.
runs great on my pc I play it at low graphics and it still looks great. would recommend this game to anyone.
Throughout life I have learned not to set my expectations too high for something, otherwise I am going to be disappointed. This did not happen with Skyrim. After all of the hype behind this game, how could I not set my expectations so high? And when I finally bought the game, I was a bit nervous that I was going to be disappointed with it. But I wasn't. I soooooooooooooooooooooooooo wasn't! This. Has got to be. The greatest game. EVER. The graphics are amazing. The combat mode is amazing. The storylines and sidequests are engaging and amazing. It was one of the very few times something has actually met (and exceeded) all of the hype built around it. And don't even get me started on the soundtrack. There is one thing I did wish was worked on more- the character creation. Don't get me wrong, the amount of detail you can put into your characters is AWESOME! I spent over an hour creating my first character, because there are just so many things to choose from. But, I would be lying if I said I wish they added a bit more variety, like height and a more extensive weight ratio. I also wish you had the option to make your character look either really young (like late teens- early twenties), or really old. Granted, you /can/ make your character look older, but the youngest I was able to make my characters look is about mid-thirties. I just wish the avatars were more attractive. But that is a major nitpick. This game is awesome, go and buy it!
He got it the day it was released for PS3 and ended up selling it within a week for me. I've recently ended up getting it for him for xbox 360. I can't get him off of it. We sit here and I watch him play for hours. I know more about this game then I ever wanted to. He loves it. He has multiple accounts and on each one he does something different. I asked him if it got boring and he said no because you can do so much. Each choice you make has a different outcome.
This is a truly fantastic game. I have not played any other games in the series but am a big fan of the Fallout family of games also from Bethesda. To me, this game is so much more enthralling than any of the Fallout games or any game I've ever played for that matter. When you go on missions you actually feel like you are doing something important, not just playing fetch like so many other RPG's. The graphics and environments are phenomenal. Some of the most awe inspiring moments I've had in the game were when I was just creeping around in the wounds with my bow and stumbled upon beautiful architecture and or landscapes. I'm not even a big RPG fan, the Fallout games and Fable 2 are the only others I've played. Someone in a review on Fallout 3 said "Just buy it, you will not be disappointed." I'm very thankful for that advice as it eventually led me to be playing Skyrim. I'm only 20 or so hours into this game which game sites have predicted will be a 300-400 hour game and I can tell you with absolute conviction that this is the most gorgeous, well written, exciting and entertaining game that I have ever played. This game makes it very hard to want to do anything else. Please take my recycled advice and "Just buy it, you will not be disappointed."
Skyrim is an epic game. If you have the time to play it, I highly recommend it if you are willing to go on a very time consuming adventure. This game is so fun that you lose track of time, and end up spending hours on end without realizing how long you've been playing. Again, I recommend it for all that want to go on an adventure.
Got this game in my Xbox bundle and it is truly fantastic. I'm definitely glad I got this game and not a different one. Definitely get it if you're debating whether or not if you want it or not. Has a huge map and the characters look much better than Oblivion. The missions are also really nice, and you don't finish them in just a few minutes. Also has a bunch of side quests to finish. The graphics are beautiful. On your missions, you'll randomly run into bandits, assassins, soldiers, trolls, bears, wolves, etc. etc.. Amazing open world game and I don't regret getting it. Definitely recommended to anyone.
Had to purchase another Skyrim Xbox disk, the one Walmart had was cheaper online so I ordered it and had it sent to in store pick up and it was ready within the hour!
