MY 6 YEAR OLD HAS BEEN USING THIS BOOSTER SEAT FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS NOW. HE LOVES IT BECAUSE IT IS "COOL CAMO" AND WE LOVE IT BECAUSE IT'S DURABLE AND SAFE. THE BACK COMES UP HIGHER WHEN AS YOUR CHILD GROWS TALLER. THAT MAKES IT A GREAT PURCHASE. WE ARE HAPPY WITH THIS BOOSTER SEAT AND WOULD BUY IT OVER AGAIN!
This is a grand booster.. I wanted something that made my child safer than the booster we had and fit him well. He is 5 and taller than the average 5 year old. The way the seat expands is amazing. Very safe. We are getting one for our 3yr old also, who is about 2 inches too short right now, but he wants a "cool camo seat" like his brother, so we are getting it for when he is ready. The only down side for me is that it doesn't fit perfect in our seats. We have a 20yr old van and I can't find a car seat that fits perfect in it. This one is as good as it gets. I also checked this out on consumer reports, and a similar model was #3...which is a big seller for me. Oh.. and who doesn't love CAMO? Haha
We feel very secure with the safety of our son in this booster seat. We did a lot of checking into different seats and decided on this one for the safety features and are not disappointed! Our son adores the camoflauge and 2 attached cup holders (for storing his cars) and his great-grandparents love the ease and simplicity of use (no more taking the car seat down to the Sheriff's Station to verify it's installed properly). It is a bit pricey compared to others on the market but it is worth every penny! It is a lot better than the cheaper models out there in every aspect! And with Wal-Mart's Site to Store Shipping..... it doesn't get much better than this!!!!!
The seat is very easy to set-up. It was a little stiff to open the first time,but it opens and folds quite well now. It is really not that heavy to carry either. I love the padding around the head and body. John my grandson(age4) loves how comfortable it is. The cup holders are great. I have a Jeep Patriot and the left cup holder he can't open because I have the booster seat located on the passenger left back seat (close to door). He can open the right cup holder, and John has no problems putting a drink or taking it out of the cup holder, no spilling. John and I both like the camouflage. I do have a concern with this booster and really ALL the booster seats...I am surpised they all DO NOT have a system like the baby seat,where you can secure them from not moving. When John goes to sit up in his booster seat, the seat sometimes moves with him. Really the only thing holding down the booster seat (ALL BOOSTER SEATS) is the safety belt that you put around your child. I wish they would make boosters with some kind of strap, that you can hook onto the hooks you would use in your car for a baby seat. John and I can go on some nice long trips and he will have no problem sitting comfortably in his booster seat. John can also relax his head back into a comfortable position. I did researched the booster and it was rated 5 stars http://www.car-safety.org/guide.html I really think The 1st Years have it down pat for the comfort and the saftey (padding) around the child. Again, I wish they would have some type of tie down security for the seat itself. NOTE: On EBAY I bought the bag you can store the car seat in for 12.00 +5.00 shipping
I bought a different type of booster seat for my daughter & when she could fall asleep in the car her head would always fall forward. In this seat the back is tilted more so their heads will naturally tilt backwards when they sleep. The other seat had no slant to the back it was straight up and down. We just took a 12 hour road trip & this seat did the trick. The fabric seems very durable & the foam seems very comfortable for the kids.
I really wanted a 5 point harness because my little guy is big for his age, but still just 4. I love this seat as does he. Simple simple...let me say again, simple install, very durable and my son says very comfy. It does have the sides to add to the safety department, but it does rely on the adult seat belt. Still woudl reccomend as it is worth the $.
We just purchased this seat for our 3 almost 4 year old toddler. Love that it's lightweight and compact compared to the last seat we had. Our toddler can actually get in the seat herself without any assistant with this product. Love the cup holders on each side and the pivoting arm rests (our toddler likes to help raise and lower them :0). I didn't rate the durability higher than a 3 because we haven't had the seat but a few weeks, so time will tell on that feature. So far, we love it!
Bought this for our three year old son and we have had it for over a year now. I fell in love with the pattern and when people saw it they asked me where I bought it from. Great seat, easy to set up my son has not complained to me and we take very long trips on the road. Great product!
My daughter has a five year and a three year, both boys (she also has a 8 wk old, but he's too young for this). She tried this carseat out on the five year old, loved it, says its comfortable, durable, and sturdy. She asked me to buy another for the three year old!
I have this booster seat and it broke at the head rest in less than 3 months. So I called the company which is actually based in the US and spoke to their customer service dept. They are upgrading the model for me free of charge and shipping it to me free. The upgraded model has corrected the issue that caused the seat to break. The whole call only took a couple of minutes. I was very impressed!
