After pricing several video monitors, this one is very well priced and does the job very well.
I bought this monitor because it was a very good price. Unfortunately you get what you pay for. The camera has to be placed on a pillow right next to my kids to be able to see them. When I had it on my nightstand where there old video monitor was , the camera was super fuzzy /blurry. I couldn't even make out my kids when it was sitting on the nightstand which is pretty close. As far as sound goes it works fine but if you're looking for a clear view of your kids I would buy a higher quality night vision camera. The monitor I had before was Vtech and it was amazing. However it broke after only 3 years of use and Vtech customer service was terrible. Overall this monitor is getting the job done just wish the night vision camera was more clear.
I got this baby moniter because we're on a budget. It's definately not worth the extra money saved. It has static going almost all the time no matter how far or near you are to baby's room. So it makes it almost impossible to sleep with the sound on, so what's the point of having it on at all? There is a very loud and annoying beep every time you turn on the hand set and when the battery is running low (even if on mute).
