Great info since I first read them in 1972.
Excellent collection for historical reference
The Foxfire Series is a fascinating and informative peek into the past. It's a great resource for those interested in natural remedies and forgotten crafts. However, not all of it is practical. There are a lot of superstitious practices and cures (such as tying 5 rocks in a sack and throwing them away at a crossroad to get rid of corns) that are only useful as a historic record of the mentality and faiths of the Appalachian people in those days.
Quick delivery. Always wanted the series. Description states hard cover. I received soft cover. If you are looking for a hard cover set beware.
