This is easily the most creative, exciting film I have seen in years! The critics who trashed it so viciously clearly just didn't get it! I suppose it takes some manner of sophistication to see the obvious homage to almost all westerns ever made both good and bad including the wardrobe, the sets, the action sequences, the humour, the fabulous characters, the music and just about anything else you care to name! And all of it was given a new, creative twist! Depp was marvelous as usual as was Armie Hammer and the rest of the supporting cast! Kudos to Gore Verbinski and Jerry Bruckheimer for bringing us a truly imaginative, exciting, whale of a movie! It's too bad that the critics panned it and most folks consumed the really bland fare that was most of the rest of last summers films.
