The Lorax is the most impressive and meaningful of all the Seuss works. It teaches so many universal lessons about regret, greed, consequences, redemption and hope. It teaches children to respect the earth and that each person is responsible for the environment. I read this to my children every chance I get. They sit completely engrossed every single time. The other Seuss works are wonderful. The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Horton, etc. are wonderful stories of imagination and friendship. Lorax however takes a more poignant stance that the others don't in my opinion and this remains my favorite Geisel creation ever.
I have loved since I was a child and now my own child will as well.
Bought this for my granddaughter's Birthday and she immediately started reading it. She loved it. She's a new generation of Seuss converts and I'm delighted!!!
We bought this book after we bought the movie. I remember the book from when I was growing up, but never paid much attention to it. After watching the movie with our children, we decided to get the book as well to read to them. It is great that Dr. Seuss wrote a book that not only entertains, but teaches us a valuable lesson.
