I'm impressed with the quality of the blu-ray movie, considering that the movie was produced in 1982. It was well worth the purchase price.
This is one of my favorite movies. It was made in 1982, but that doesnt matter. The movie takes place in 1882. If you love good actors, good scenery, good story, lots of action and have a love for horses and good riding, you will really love this.

Don't expect HD quality on a movie shot so long ago and you'll be happy with your purchase. This movie is a classic... I bought it and the second one. It's a rare thing, but we actually like the second one just as much if not more. It's a great series to own. Australian Cowboy set back in simpler times.... with amazing scenery and excellent horses.
The picture is much improved over the old standard DVD.
The Man From Snowy River was not the most distinguishable western ever made. But, it was OK. Simplistic acting, script, and editing. Overall, The Man From Snowey River delivered pleasing family viewing. The blu-ray picture quality was a notch above DVD quality. I gave my copy to the library.
Bought this by mistake. I cant play Blu-ray and postage to return was as much as the movie. I just threw it away and bought a DVD copy. Great movie.
I don't know exactly how to rate this movie as I didn't get to watch it. It was a brand new blue ray and the darn DVD was movieless. Yes, It was a blank DVD right out of the package. I have to put something rate this somehow in order to finish this review. I put 1 star as a review. It should have been a rating of negative 10 or more. If there had been an actual movie recorded on this disc I bet I could have rated it a perfect score.
