I received this skillet and had to use it right away! I love it. Followed all instructions and of course it's nonstick, first thing I cooked was a grilled cheese sandwich! It turned out perfect! Then I cooked breakfast and again everything turned out perfect!
This pan is amazing!!!!! It's light weight, yet heavy duty/well made of cast aluminum with a wooden handle. It's beautiful, as all Pioneer Woman products are. It cooks food evenly. Frying ground beef, sautéing vegetables. No oils needed. Nothing stuck to the pan. You can use it on any type of stove. I used an electric one. The pan cleans easily. I hand washed mine. It's says dishwasher safe but I won't put mine in it. Like cast iron you need to keep it oiled. It also comes with a limited lifetime warranty. This pan is so good, I want an entire set so I can throw all of my old ones out! It's awesome!
I absolutely love this cast aluminum fry pan, it's the best one I've ever had!!! I love everything about it, the color, the speckles, the handle, the way it cooks, etc. The handle is comfortable but durable and the neutral color goes with my kitchen settings. It has so many features. It's oven safe up to 350 degrees for 30 minutes, it's made to be used without oil or butter and it's dishwasher safe. My husband likes his food fried hard (burnt) and I have no issues with foods or stains getting stuck to the bottom. It easily comes clean even after burning food or letting the food sit for awhile. I was so amazed! I plan to purchase the whole set asap. I DEFINITELY recommend this product!!!!
This has become a go-to pan for everything. The absolute best quality is it is nonstick and easy to clean! It's lightweight it's not super heavy. It's aluminum coated with enamel so it heats very evenly and you don't have to crank the fire to cook. I cannot describe the feel of the handle it is a soft non-heating handle. It is the most unique pan I've ever owned!
Dishwasher safe although I prefer to handwash my skillets and pots. Love the look, wooden handle keeps it cool to the touch and a lovely speckled finish gives it charm. Food cooks evenly and does not stick. Do not use metal utensils and read instructions to get the most out of this great skillet, I plan on using for many years to come.
What impressed me the most was when I cooked scrambled eggs in it and not a bit of dried, cooked egg stuck to the pan. Not a bit! I haven't seen that forever! Terrific pan, looking forward to purchasing a few mre.
I liked how evenly the Pioneer Woman skillet cooks! And of course the pretty white speckled color! I cooked an egg and it came out perfectly! I also have the gray speckled skillet too! Love Pioneer Woman! Great purchase!
This 10” Cast Aluminum Frying Pan from Pioneer Woman is quality construction with a sturdy wood-look handle. The material is cast aluminum with baked speckled enamel outside coating. The pan also has a “no-stick” coating and says that it is dishwasher safe. However, with all coated pots and pans, it is probably better to hand wash. This pan goes perfectly with a Pioneer Woman Cookware set we had obtained previously. Overall, this is a nice piece of cookware set for the price with quality construction. With good care, this pan should last for many years to come.
Aesthetically, the skillet is beautiful. The white linen look is gorgeous sitting on my stove. I'm proud of it and it arrived just in time to prepare breakfast for guests. Non stick worked great for frying eggs as well as sausage & bacon. It is designed for cooking without butter or oil and nice to have a pan with that feature. Very easy to clean. Appreciate the detailed and thorough Use & Care Instructions. Was alittle suprised in the amount of information related to caring for a skillet; maybe to keep it pretty and white. Instructions say it is oven safe up to 350° for 30 min. which will be handy for certain meals. It is a comfortable grip as well.
This product was not a win for me. As much as I wanted to love cooking with it, I would say it's mostly just a pretty package. This is probably the prettiest frying pan I've ever seen. The linen speckle with wood style handle, it's so pretty. The drawback for me is I had to basically rethink my whole cooking style to accommodate this pan. You can only cook on low or medium. The first time I cooked with it, I set it to medium and it got so hot it burnt the fish I was making. So I then realized it gets hotter quicker than my other frying pans. Then I cooked some cut up chicken in it on low and it wouldn't even sear the chicken, so I bumped up the temp to medium and it still wouldn't, so I went to medium high and by then, the pan was just too hot and I had to take the chicken out to avoid overcooking. I washed it by hand as the instructions say. It came out very clean despite the mess I made. I did notice however a burnt spot on the bottom of the pan, you can see in my pictures. That was kind of disappointing. I assume it's because I went to medium high. Overall, I found that having to completely change my cooking style, this pan just wasn't worth it. I prefer functional over aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
