I love this 8” fry pan from pioneer Woman. I love the color, and how it is made, the quality is very good. Food does not stick, easy to wash. The handle is very smooth and water does not get in handle when washing pan.
This pan really surprised me. First of all, it's doesn't "look" like it would be non-stick, but I really IS non-stick. The appearance and the feel of the pan is not typical of other non-stick pans. The finish is not smooth. Seems the speckles are actually a bit rough to the touch. I did condition the pan with oil, per instructions. This will need to be done on occasion. It says it is safe to put in the dishwasher, but I personally would never put any non-stick pan in the dishwasher. The detergent could affect it. It's the first cast aluminum pan I've ever had. So much lighter than a cast iron pan, love that. The wood handle is easy to grip. I like this pan so much I'm going to also get the 12".
This is a great little frying pan made from cast aluminum. The size is great for making breakfast eggs and the charcoal speckle finish is a great non-stick surface. Put a little olive oil in before using it, keep the heat level at medium, and wash after it cools down, it will last a long time. I like the wood handle which always stays cool.
Very nice looking and practical fry pan. The cast aluminum makes it lightweight and the nonstick surface makes it delightful! I haven't used it yet because my kitchen is getting a makeover. I so look forward to having it become my everyday pan for breakfast and dinner. I'm able to use lids I already have. It arrived in no time at all, too!
The very first thing I noticed was the quality of the pan. Right out of the box, it was simply awesome. It looks good on the eyes, the handle is smooth, wide and strong. The ceramic gray color is attractive. I have sauteed many things, including, eggs, mushrooms, shrimps etc, and everything came out great. The inside coating prevents any sticking and cooked items slide out of the pan easily. The walls are high enough to prevent any spills. The heating is awesome, as bottom surface is designed pretty well. Not to mention the weight of the pan is suitable for easy handling. I have been doing a light wash without any issues.
The pioneer woman prairie signature cast aluminum frying pan is made of great quality material. It has a wood handle that is very sturdy to hold. It's ideal for cooking eggs or frying. It is a non-stick frying pan and when you wash the frying pan and you dump out the water the frying pan totally dries out.
The Pioneer Woman Prairie Signature Cast Aluminum 8-inch Fry Pan is a very useful frying pan. Its non-stick surface means you do not need to add oils or spray to keep food from sticking while you cook. I fried salmon and needed no oils and my fish did not stick – yeah! The pan is made of durable cast aluminum with a charcoal gray freckled pattern and a wooden handle. A potholder is needed because the handle gets very warm. The bottom of the pan has a floral decoration that makes it look pretty. The frying pan is aluminum making it compatible with most cooking surfaces (gas, electric, etc.). Because the pan is cast aluminum, it needs to be conditioned (oil rubbed before use). The pan is dishwasher safe and that is good for cleaning, but I prefer to handwash it to preserve the non-stick surface. Make sure to read and follow the cleaning instructions inside the label to prevent damage to the pan. This frying pan has other pieces from The Pioneer Woman Collection that you can mix and match with. I highly recommend and give this 8-inch frying pan 5 stars because it is practical when a small pan is needed and it is non-stick. Note: I received this product as a promotion.
This was 21 dollars well spent. After many years of buying the cheaper Teflon coated pans I decided to try something new. This little 8" pan is used by me every day to make breakfast and sometimes dinner for one person. It is really non stick and performs as good as it looks on my glass top stove in my Pioneer Woman Kitchen. I love the dark spe ckled color. Easy to clean, light weight, with a nice handle. I plan to get the 10" size next and maybe some other pieces.
Love this small pan. It’s non- stick and easy to clean-up. The wooden handle does not get hot while cooking. Great for making sauce doesn’t stick to the pan. Also, great to cook scrambled eggs, taco meat and any other foods. Cooks food evenly! This pan performs as good as it looks! If you’re looking for a small frying pan, I highly recommend this one.
I love everything Pioneer Woman and this beautiful little skillet doesn’t disappoint. I love the handle. It looks like wood and it doesn’t get hot while cooking. The skillet is the perfect size for frying a few eggs or a couple of chicken breasts. Do make sure you read all the instructions on how to clean and use the skillet before using it. It states to not use higher than medium heat. I know from experience using high heat on a non stick pan damages the coating on the pan. Also don’t use any metal spoons or spatulas because it will scratch the surface. I put this skillet in the dishwasher and it came out great. The reason I knocked off a star is because the handle is heavier than the pan and when I put it on my cooktop it kept tipping from the weight of the handle. I had to adjust it to balance on the grates. Once I had the correct position and food in the skillet tipping wasn’t a problem. The first thing I cooked in it were scrambled eggs and they slid right off the skillet with no sticking what so ever.
