I bought the 12" skillet together with the 10pc set. So far it is the best fry pan I ever had. Handle is made from silicone, easy to clean, don't get sticky. The riveted structure makes it very sturdy. Exterior looks beautiful and don't get burned or change color; Heavy duty, cook nicely, and easy to clean. Overall very good quality product.
I was very hesitant to buy this pan based on the negative reviews, but am I glad I did because it is the best non stick pan I've had yet. From green pans to cheap pans to very expensive non stick, which have all wound up in the trash, this pan takes the cake. I've used this pan half a dozen times so far, maybe more, on a gas cooktop using varying degrees of heat, from low to high, and it has held up perfectly and is the easiest pan I've ever cleaned. I haven't had any bubbling up and quite the opposite experience as most reviewers with regard to the heat, this pan sits extremely level on my gas grates and heats incredibly even. I'm just dumbfounded as to what the other reviewers have experienced because my opinion is THIS is the non stick pan to have. All non stick & hard anodized pans eventually wear, especially if you put them in the dishwasher. If you want a pan that lasts forever but can never throw in the dishwasher then you just need to invest in and use cast iron all of the time. I LOVE my cast iron, but sometimes I just want to use a regular, lighter pan and this is now my go to. Stainless steel will also last forever, but they are not non stick. Of all the non stick I've owned this is my favorite pan hands down, and the absolute easiest to clean no matter what you cook, even meat at high temps this pan is unbelievably easy to clean. I just can't say enough about it. Oh, and the speckling is so pretty!! lol.
I was very excited to purchase the last blue pan in my Walmart! I thought originally I wanted the Linen color but the blue is so very pretty. Originally, I was going to just get this skillet in blue and then the $99 collection in linen but I think I have changed my mind. We have a glasstop stove. Whenever the pan heats up, it gets "wobbly" and the bottom seems uneven. When the pan is not hot, it does seem like the bottom is flat so it is not something you could notice in the store. I do cook a lot and do not appreciate an uneven bottom'd skillet. It's nice to look at but I am not sure i could stand a whole set possibly doing the same thing this pan does since I cook often. It makes cooking uneven. It is unfortunate, as I was really looking forward to purchasing the whole set.
I received this skillet and the 9" and 11" combo set as gifts. I love how big the skillets are, but I feel like the quality is very cheap. The skillets aren't flat on the bottom, they wobble. When you go to stir you have to hold the handle or the skillet itself will start spinning. I've been very careful with mine since I've received them so no scratches or chipping. I planned on buying the entire cookware set but since having these I've changed my mind. I'm a fan of pioneer woman but I would not own these had they not been gifts. I've been very selective in the pieces I've bought from her collection After reading reviews and the recall on the cake stand.
So I bought this item as part of a 24 piece set. It was a great deal and we loved so the looked so we went for it. However I noticed the 12" skillet began having scratches appear on it even though we only used the approved tools that came with it. Turns out this coating is very poor quality. I contacted Pioneer woman (Gibson) expecting to at least hear back and then nothing. I would have been satisfied to just have the skillet replaced and write it off as a bad batch but the customer service is poor.
This pan left red paint on my glass top stove that so far hasn't' come off. It also is very wobbly on the bottom. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.
I purchased this pan a couple months ago because my husband and I wanted a new set of pots and pans. I decided to get just one pan to see how I liked them prior to spending the money on a complete set. I am SO glad I didn't buy the whole set. While it's a lovely pan, it's only lovely for a little while. If you wash it, the shine comes off and the paint will also start wiping off. That made me so sad because I really was hoping the blue speckle set would be good quality. No such luck. Don't buy them if you want them to continue to look like they did when you bought them.
I wanted to love this pan. First time I used it the bottom warped, it now has a round bottom that doesn't even touch the stove and the paint comes off on my glass stove top. I expected more.
The skillet is very pretty and light weight, but it's too light. On my very first cook with it, I noticed that it was only bubbling in one spot in the skillet. When I got down at eye level, I noticed the pan was not sitting flat. The weight of the handle was making the pan tilt off the stove, therefore, not getting even heat distribution. I don't know if cooking heavier food would make it sit flat, but I want a pan that'll sit flat no matter what I'm cooking! Total disappointment. I love the Pioneer Woman, but I don't like her cookware so far. Sorry!
I bought this at Walmart in the blue, and have not had it long. Just went to use it and the non stick surface has little bubbles in it ..can not use it..kind of scary. Could have ended up in my food. Is there any warranty for this product? Wish I had purchased something else.
