Love this series, I like it better than Downton Abbey. The acting, the writing, the scenery, every last little detail is fantastic! It was torture waiting for season 5 to arrive, and our group of 7 that gathers to watch it tries very hard to keep from watching more than one at a time, so we can stretch it out as long as possible.
Mesmerizing. My wife and I found this so interesting that just about all we could do was sit there and watch it. We let the household chores go and even ordered our meals in. We fell in love with the characters and by the end considered them as good friends. Fantastic acting and absorbing story. Film making very well done The Aussies did great on this one.

I received 2 orders from acorn. A place to call home, seasons 4 and 5. I received both orders timely and I thouroly enjoyed both DVD's.
I loved watching A Place To Call Home. It was great entertainment for me with a great story line. Too bad there wasn't a continuation of this series.
This series wrapped up the stories from the other series very nicely. People are not as bigoted as they were in the first series.
