It allows you to cut natural tree branches from your surrounding area that you are hunting in, and insert them into the jaws of the holder. You can then rotate and swivel the completely in any direction, and lock them in just by tightening the (2) thumbscrews with your fingers! Another feature is, because you insert the branches in thru the top, as well as the bottom, you conceal / camouflage your upper, and lower parts of your body at the same time, (thereby completely blending into the surrounding area).
