mainly i've been using this to clean my chinchillas cage out (not the bedding even the large shopvac had problems with that) and its worked great on the shelving and whatnot in there. its small enough to sit in my closet and is light enough to hold it while im cleaning. also has been working great for dusting around the house.
it has good and bad qualities. Good- small, easy to move in car, not heavy, not too loud (ear plugs should be worn anyways). Bad- there is a 2 inch space between filter and hose exit. so if you start to vacuum up things about size of a gum wrapper, it will start to clog that space. fills up quickly when vacuuming water. if you can't afford the 2 hp model then buy this. but if you Can afford it. buy the 2hp or larger. this vac is better for dry dirt then wet since chamber is small. no matter which vac you get, empty dry dirt before sucking up water. from personal experience it will create a horrible odor.
I wouldn't recommend spending the money on this vacuum unless all you want to vacuum are crumb-sized, dust-free particles. It does have good suction power until you get a clog in the 1/2 inch gap between the hose inlet and filter. As far as I know, you also can't get bags for this one, so you have to dump out the contents, which is a mess. And getting it put back together again is also difficult.
