Perfect for my P90X workout
I like this product because it is long enough for a tall person, thick enough to provide a comfortable surface for floor exercises and is economically priced.
I use this product all the time when I do my ab workout on my wooden floor. It has great support and is really confortable on my lower back. I would highly recommended this product.
This Gold's Gym mat was narrower and less dense than the Danskin mat I also have. It was $10 cheaper and I thought it would be "the same thing" as some other reviewers have stated. But seeing them side by side, there was no comparison. The Danskin mat is denser and wider, a better quality mat all around. Once again, you get what you pay for. However, the Gold's gym mat is not a bad product, just not as good as the Danskin mat.
When I was shopping for a yoga mat, I saw some that looked too thin but this one is perfect. I also love that it has a carrying strap for traveling.
This exercise mat is very thick and soft, it cusions me from the hard wood floors in our house. They should of made this mat wider though, I barely have any room on it and some of the yoga stretches I do with a wii I'm half way on the floor.
the mat is not large enough for me not be hanging off of it at my head or feet and is very narrow so it is not very comfortable for me to use while doing my physical therapy exercises. the mat also slides and moves easily with no grip to the surface its used on whether it be my cement back porch or wood floored living room. the mat is already showing signs of wear and tear after its first week.
Not a durable exercise mat AT ALL. It is way to foamy, you can't even wear your shoes on it as it will create marks, dents, and tears. I've used it maybe 4x at most, and already it is starting to wear down on me. Should've spent $10 more for a better exercise mat. I'll probably have to purchase another one in a couple months anyway because this will be no good by then. *sigh* That's what I get for being a cheapskate.
I purchased this mat hoping the thickness would be useful when doing yoga. I soon found, however, that the thickness worked against me in regards to balance. It was very difficult to balance on the mat and stand in the proper positions. The soft mat mad even simple poses wobbly. I would recommend this mat for floor exercise but NOT yoga. I returned my mat after one use and was given a prompt, no questions asked return.
This exercise mat is not durable at all. I bought it because it seemed to be more cushioned, and it was cheaper than the other mats. Pros: -It's thick and cushioned. Cons: -It slides all over the floor. -It's extremely stretchy. If you try to do planks/side planks, you will find the mat is very unstable with moves like that. It stretches A LOT, and slides and moves, making it extremely difficult. -Although it's thick and cushioned, it sinks in like foam, so in the end, the extra cushion doesn't do more than a thinner mad would. -It rips. Yes, mine already has a giant rip in it because of the extremely stretchy, non-durable material it's made of. I would suggest another mat besides this one. I don't recommend it.
