It warms up quick, and has a sound signal after a few minutes of inactivity, and auto cools off if it is still inactive. The steamer option works well, no water leak. So far, all the features work perfectly.
This CHI Professional Clothing Iron is everything I expected it' to be. The CHI brand is a known brand in my head just from there straightening irons for my hair so to see a clothing iron from the brand made perfect sense. So easy to use and I feel works so well.
I try my best not to get things that need to be ironed, but there are times when you fall for something and that cannot be avoided. I found this iron by CHI and it looks very space-age and neat. I wanted to see what it could do. I heard their hair tools were great, so I thought the iron could be as well. It uses the same titanium-infused ceramic soleplate technology as the hair tools. This iron delivers powerful steam that makes the process of steaming out wrinkles smooth and fast, which is what I like. Make this tedious task easy and fast. This CHI iron does just that.
This is the last iron I will ever buy. I have told so many people about this iron. It irons so smoothly no matter what materials you're using. It looks like a professional did your ironing. I even get compliments at work about my creases.
This is a good iron- I tried it out right away on a denim jacket and it worked well. I appreciate that it has automatic shutoff so I don’t have to worry about leaving it on. It had a little water in it already, which surprised me, but a note said that was because of the factory testing.
Definitely makes ironing an easier task. Owned older model for several years before this one and pleasantly surprised with this updated version.
I just received this iron and couldn't wait to use it. Some of the great features are: * Heats up super quick! * non-slip grip * Nice big heel on iron that stabilizes it when sitting it upright * large water-fill door * self cleaning button for steam setting which keeps the steam vents clear of mineral build up * various settings for fabrics and steam levels * titanium ceramic soleplate which is the same as their hair products giving CHI products their superiority over other similar products. I really loved how stable this iron was sitting on my ironing board. It also has an auto shutoff after 60 seconds if it's sitting on its soleplate or resting on either side motionless for 60 seconds. If it's resting upright on it's heel for 30 minutes motionless, it will also shut off. No more worry wondering if you've forgotten to turn off your iron! This iron glides easily across different fabrics and quickly irons out the wrinkles. I wish this particular iron had a retractable cord but I can put up with that for the other great features. I've had other brand name irons that didn't work nearly as well and costs far more money! I highly recommend this iron!
This iron replaced an iron I had for what seemed like forever. I broke down and got this new iron so I could actually make my own shirts. The last iron had broken buttons and I couldn't read or understand the settings on it. This iron, I can now see the settings and know where to set them AND I don't have to worry about it randomly being on steam mode, I can put it on steam mode or take it off. This iron is much lighter in weight than my last iron and soes a great job with my shirt making
I am actually really impressed with this iron. I love the functions that it has. I really like that when you click to go to a new setting it truly clicks so you're not going to accidentally move the dial too far into the next zone. The other thing I really love about this is that there is a flap for filling the water so I'm not worried about water spilling out of the iron like my old one did. It heats up very quickly it's not super heavy, it's lightweight. Overall I really like this and it has permanently replaced my old one.
This iron is the best quality iron we have ever owned. We have owned other CHI products (straightener, etc.) and they have always been of the highest quality. That means styling, durability of construction, and operation. I think for the price this iron is a bargain. First of all, you can tell when you remove it from the packaging, that it is made of durable materials. Just the feel of the handle in your hand tells you that. It is not too heavy or light, but just right. Every feature of this iron was well thought out. The sole plate is ceramic and very smooth. The shape of the tip is so that it can get into tight places on your clothes. The controls are clear and easy to grab onto. There are various settings for different fabrics (as on most irons) that are easy to select using the big knob. The steam amount is set by a toggle switch under the front of the handle. It could be easier to get to, but is not really that big of an inconvenience. The buttons for spray and steam are right next to each other with no separation – this can make them easy to confuse when using and you have to look for while to get used to it. The iron heats up quick and lights up when plugged in. It also has an auto off feature if you forget to unplug. The iron is easy to fill without spilling the water thanks to the hole design. The fill hole cover also closes securely. The only feature I miss is a retractable power cord, but this feature on other appliances does not always work correctly. Overall, we love this iron (still do not love the task of ironing though!).
