A Gem of a Gym!

I really like this little door gym. There isn't a lot of resistance if you use one cord at a time, but if you combine 2 cords at a time, it's a decent workout and, as another reviewer said, 2 gyms side-by-side would be ideal. I noticed my hollow core door would give just a bit when using this, so I would definitely recommend using this on a solid core door, particularly if you buy 2 gyms. Also, make sure you have enough room to exercise...at least 6 ft. out from the door (or enough to do lunges) and enough room to fully extend your arms out to the side horizontally. Otherwise, you will be limited in doing some of the exercises. My one complaint is that it doesn't come with instructions detailing the weight resistance per cord. It would be nice to know how much resistance you are getting using one black cord or a black and yellow, or 2 blacks, etc. They do give you a chart showing the different exercise positions, but they have shrunk it so small that I practically have to use a magnifying glass to see it. But overall, it's fun to use! ... and I hate to exercise! It's portable, it's a space saver and the price is right...I paid around $27 buying it at the store! So, the positives outweigh the negatives and that makes it a worthwhile purchase. If you are a weightlifter, then this isn't for you, but it's perfect for toning and keeping fit without the clutter and expense of workout equipment.

Not Bad

I paid like 25 dollars in store for this item. The other review is right in the aspect of if you only use 1 cord to do your exercises then it is easy, but if you hook all four of the cords up and use them, then it is actually good. My suggestion is, if you want to actually be able to use it how it describes, then you need to buy 2 of them and put them side by side on your door. Hook 1 handle on each of them up to all four of the cord on each of them and do it that way.

Good if you need about 25LB-30LB resistance or so

Whole set gives about 25LB resistance: Yellow are about 7.5LB each, Black are about 5LB each when extended approximately to the bottom of door. It is good for some exercises but eventually would need more resistance to help progress muscle growth. Few rollers are oval shaped and made the thumping sound - nothing extreme, but not preferred early in the morning. Overall it is an awesome deal for the money, but I need more resistance.

I love this door gym. It gave me a great workout. I was sore for 2 days afterwards. It's great for toning and it's actually fun to do. I wouldn't recommend for someone who's used to a lot of resistance.

Great for after surgery therapy

My wife found this at Walmart after I had my shoulder surgery. I used to use a large rubber band and attached it to a door knob. But the band kept breaking. It really has helped me with my home therapy. I really missed it when I go a couple of days without it. So, I highly recommend it for therapy reasons.

This is nothing more than a few bungee cords w/ little resistance my 5 yr old could do all these workouts easily. Yes, the further back you stand away from the door the more resistance you get but not enough to tone or build muscle as this says and so not worth the $. I will be returning it!
