This dental floss is a great value and go to for avid flossers. I usually floss at least once or twice a day and always have to go with the waxed floss due to having an upper and lower permanent retainer. I found this floss very easy to access and tear off unlike some flosses I have used in the past. You also do not have to worry about the floss splitting in half while using the product because it is heavy duty! The mint flavor I found to be very nice and not too overbearing. You also get 55 yards as the package states which will last awhile depending on use. I always keep floss in my car and travel bag so I am never left without it. I have been using this as my primary floss and have been impressed so far. The floss claims to help prevent gingivitis which I fully believe! I can't stand having anything in my teeth after a meal, especially if I think someone would notice it while I was talking to them! This floss will help prevent that worry altogether and hopefully keep you in the right track for good dental hygiene. Would definitely recommend this product.
I hate flossing. It is boring and tedious. I stopped using Dental Floss that comes rolled in a dispenser because they taste and smell weird, they are not gentle to my gums, and the after taste is very annoying. I changed to Dental Floss Picks but after using them for a while it kind of doesn't make sense to me. Well, I went back to my roots. I changed again back to the classic Dental Floss Dispenser. After trying this Equate Waxed Dental Floss I am amazed. Even though it looks like any other Dental Floss I have used before the texture of this one is soft. It is very gentle to my gums. It feels so nice that I thought I forgot how to use it. I wanted to try this mint flavor even though I don't like mint and to my surprise, you don't taste the mint like other Dental Floss. You only feel the mint when you breathe. It leaves your mouth feeling super clean and so fresh. It doesn't have any unpleasant after taste. I love it. I definitely recommend it.
I will be the first to admit I am neurotic about flossing. I carry floss with me because when I eat I have to clean my teeth. This being waxed is perfect for getting between my very tight teeth. The mint flavor is perfect as it leave a nice taste in your mouth. Don’t waste your money on other brands. I have happily used Equate products for years!
I really like this dental floss! The taste or flavor is spearmint (just as advertised and as you would expect). I am a little bit of an obsessive flosser- I have spools in my bathroom, purse, car, and desk. I just can’s stand feeling food in between my teeth! Yuck! However, I am kind of particular about my floss too. I got some “special” (name brand) gentle glide one time and hated it- the wax on the string flaked EVERYWHERE- couldn’t wear black with that floss! This floss, however, does not leave flakes. Some flosses are flavored so strongly they can almost burn my gums; this floss does not do that. It is mild enough to be comfortable but strong enough to be refreshing. And the best part is that this is a VERY good value for the price; love the Equate brand!
I prefer mint floss and use a lot of it. This will last along time with the 55 yards. Soft and does Exactly what it’s supposed to. I use floss A couple of times a day and even have some in my purse and car! This will last several months at the least
Equate Waxed Mint Dental Floss, 66 Yd Is just as I expected, good floss with a very pleasant minty flavor. I normally shy away from flavored floss, but I wanted to give this a try, and was pleasantly surprised . It worked well as a floss and left a very pleasant aftertaste. My mouth felt cool, fresh and minty for some time after flossing. If you don't mind a nice fresh taste, then, I recommend it!
I received a package of waxed Equate Dental Floss in the Mint variety. The package information invites comparison to Reach Mint Waxed Floss and mentions that floss helps prevent gingivitis. The mint taste and scent of the floss is delightful. I am getting fifty-five yards in the package with eighteen inches as the recommended length to use for flossing. The container will average over one hundred uses. It is easy to start a length of floss since, inside the container, approximately two inches of it are already pulled out and across to a metal cutter that I can use to cut the floss to the desired length. The floss and cutter are protected by a notched lid that snaps tightly closed over them - keeping the contents clean and dry. I even kept the hanger packaging to store the floss. Equate provides a telephone number for questions and comments – something that I really appreciate for anything that I purchase. The floss is thin enough to get between my teeth and the wax coating eases it through. The only problem that I encountered was that the waxiness helped but did not prevent the floss from catching on the rough edge on one of my teeth.
This dental floss works for me. It is simple, no hassle mint waxed floss. I use it like I have all other floss. Just pull enough out to go around a couple of fingers on each hand and it does just fine. I did discover when you don't pull out a long enough piece it is harder to grip. I also think I use more of it to floss just being sure I have enough length. The cutter worked all the way to the end. The floss being waxed does help it slide through my teeth better. The mint is not overwhelming. You can smell it and taste it. There isn't a lot to say about dental floss. This seems to do the job just fine for me.
I got the Equate store brand as it was less expensive than the name brand with the same yardage I normally use. However, it is also thinner than the name brand floss which I did not like. However, if you prefer a thin floss then this would fit the bill for you, I'm sure. I prefer waxed floss over regular floss because it doesn't shred as much since some of my teeth are closer together than others. The mint flavor wasn't very noticeable either. Very light to me. But with everything I've said, it did floss my teeth which is the main purpose of floss after all. I just wouldn't recommend it if you can afford something made better.
So this is Mint Waxed Dental Floss. The mint is not really strong. The wax is not really slippery. This is just basic floss. I'm not really sure what to say about it. Usually I use the tape style floss. And this is just really basic stuff. The fact that it's string it can be a bit painful if you get too deep in the gum. On the plus side you get a bunch in the package and it cuts really easy. It's really string too. If you're looking for a basic floss that won't break the bank then this is it.
