I brought this for Black+Decker 12 cup coffee maker and it fit and tast great. It had the solid bottom which didn't affect it at all. No more paper filters for me.
When we buy a new coffee pot,i bought a new filter for it,love these!
These baskets are a must have folks. They last forever. I bought my previous on 15 years ago and is still useable, but has a small hole.
Works well, and very easy to clean. So far, no tears, cracks, chips, or breakage and I bought it a couple of months ago. I've even dropped it once and it was fine. I feel like the black plastic that holds the mesh isn't really that great though. I feel like it can be made a little more sturdy. I can't help but feel like I'm going to break it if I apply any more pressure to it with my hands while rinsing it. But I will repeat- it hasn't broken at all for me yet. So I'm still a satisfied customer.
works great, no more disposable paper filters!
I needed a way to filter coffee grounds from going down the drain when I rinsed out my french press. This works great for that. I simply place a paper filter in it and I have it sitting in my sink. When it becomes full I dump it out and replace the paper filter. No coffee grounds clogging my drain.
This is the second that I have bought from Walmart. The first one was ordered about 8 yrs ago..they really last a long time!!!! Well worth the money!!!!!
The bottom is solid plastic. The water drips into the filter and then the coffee flows out of the sides. This solid bottom makes it hard to clean. The filter has to be turned onto its side and turned as water flows through the screen to rinse out the coffee grounds. Too bad the bottom isn't a screen where you can turn it upside down and rinse the grounds out efficiently.
good if you dont want paper or can't get paper filters BUT with this type of filter you will have a fine coffee grounds in the last cup or bottom of pot, this my 2nd one in 15 years, I only use when I'm out of paper filters and can't fine any at time of shopping
Horrible design. Pictures don't show that the bottom is a solid piece of plastic. It only filters from the sides. Useless for my pour-over coffee method. I guess I'll have to buy another brand or drill holes in the bottom. I can't imagine who would want something like this.
