My husband and I went back and forth between this crib and another offered that we felt looked a little better but we absolutely love this crib. It was super easy to assemble! I was even able to help out being 8 months pregnant. Our baby has been sleeping in it since he was 6 weeks old and he's now 4 months. It's done well as the crib so far. I can't wait to see it transition with us through the years!
I was looking for top quality for low cost and i got exactly what I needed. My son is 5 months and I now wanted him in his own bed and He loves it. I assembled this item all by myself in about 1 hour. I did Site to Store on this product because I had to have it. Thanks walmart for the low cost and top quality.
I have the Stardust crib by Storkcraft for my older son, and I like the Rochester so much more. It looks nicer, is more practical with the drawer underneath, and looks like a very pricey crib. Wal-Mart had the best price of any competing website. Fast shipping, too. While putting together the crib I not only had to contact Storkcraft for missing parts, but also Wal-Mart customer service via email. I was so impressed with both, especially after reading some reviews about terrible customer service from Storkcraft. Wal-Mart customer service addressed the issue immediately and solved my problem quickly. Storkcraft was also good, but Wal-Mart was faster. Great crib, great price, excellent customer service.
shopped several stores and found that walmart had a very good price an the same item. instructions to assemble where excellent and product quality was exceptional
So we order this product and it took about a week to get it, site to store method. I originally was going to purchase the Aspen matching cherry set and after reviewing each product for months I am glad I went with this one! It really is beautiful. It is a nice dark cherry color and matches the Storkcraft Beatrice combo unit perfect. I wanted furniture that matched and when I opened the box to found that the matched, I was thrilled. It took about 1hr to put the crib together. No picks no scratches. It really is worth the money!!!
The crib met my expectations. It looks nice, very representative of the pictures on the site. No major issues putting it together. Reading the reviews, I was prepared to keep an eye out for the new brackets...even so, we didn't find them on the first go through the box and ended up putting on the wrong set. My husband found the new brackets as he was throwing out the box! So be sure to check for the new brackets thoroughly before you're finished! The new brackets are large, heavy, and cream colored, while the recalled brackets are smaller, lighter, and white. Hope that helps anyone else putting this one together. As far as use, I suppose we won't know until after the baby arrives! Thus far, however, everything seems to be in order.
I took a chance ordering this crib online after reading the great reviews, and I'm glad I did. It cost about 1/2 of the other cribs I was looking at, and it looks great set up. It is sturdy and feels safe, and the Sealy mattress fit perfectly. I love the color (much darker than most cherry) and the drawer underneath isgreat for linen storage. I read awful reviews about assembly, but my boyfriend had it put together in an hour (the dresser, however, took much longer). This crib is certainly not heirloom quality (lots of particle board and scratches fairly easily), but if you want something that is functional and looks great on a budget, then I recommend it highly.
Not too bad. Little pricey i thought but still a good product. Fairly easy to assemble. Didn't like how the directions were on the bottom of bed kept having to look over at it instead of directions in hand. Could have also had a notice about the other brackets. I installed the ones that came with it only to find extra parts and then had to reinstall new ones. The onlt thing i dont like is the sliding rail seems a little cheap.
We got the crib, dresser, and changing table all from Storkcraft, and were generally happy with all of them. The crib assembled easily, though the directions weren't clear to pre-assemble some parts before trying to attach them to the rest of the product. The drawer underneath doesn't slide as well as I had hoped, but it's still a good bargain for the money paid.
I love the crib. The color is darker than it looks. It should be called a dark cherry. The bed doesn't look like a cheap one. The directions were only a little confusing, but we had fun putting it together. It had all the parts it needed. The holes were in the right place. No stratches from the shipping. I think it is a great value for what you pay.
