We were loaned this mobile while living in Europe and our 3 month old daughter loved it. The lights that slowly spin on the ceiling and the music is very soothing for her. When we moved back to the US I knew I had to find one to buy since she liked it so much. I would highly recommend this mobile, we haven't found anything quite like it.
Not only is this product colorful and holds my daughter's attention, her favorite place to play is now her crib. This product is awsome! If any parents are having a dilemma on what kind of mobile to but for your child... this is it. It encourages great motor skills too. I would definitely recommend this mobile.
My granddaughter LOVES everything about this product. She is fascinated by the light patterns projected on the ceiling and by the brightly colored birds hanging from the disks on the mobile. The disks turn, so she is stimulated by different patterns and colors. The panda face is especially interesting to her. She stares at it while listening to the music. I read that babies are especially attracted to black and white patterns and this has proven to be true. She loves the classical music best, but the lullabies soothe her too.
The only problem I have with this mobile is that the instructions warn you should have 7" from the bottom of the mobile to the mattress. It suggests that if you put the mobile on the crib and there is less than 7" you should lower the mattress. What is the point of having an adjustable mattress in my crib so that I don't have to bend down so far to pick up my newborn if I have to lower the mattress to accomodate the mobile. I'm disappointed that I will not be able to use the mobile until it is time to lower the mattress. Maybe I'm just being neurotic but, hey, I'm a first time mom.
This is a good mobile especially the projector. The rotating moon and stars on the ceiling make ME sleepy! I just wish the music and the projector goes on longer. It's only on for about 10 minutes and then turns off by itself. My baby does not fall asleep that fast. It also has some good classical songs and lullabies. Overall I am satisfied with this product.
We like this mobile because it has a lot to it. The three issues we have with it is that: 1.) The characters that rotate do not glow in the dark. The baby can't see them rotating when the nursery light is off or even when the projector is on. 2.) Due to the type of crib we have the mobile isn't capable of being positioned right over our babies head like it should be. It's actually positioned half way passed his head. Fisher-Price should make the mounting of this mobile more versitile, so that it can fit wide spindle, curve back cribs. 3.) The projector should glow underneath the projector also.
for our crib, the mobile takes up too much room over baby's head. it would be nice if the mobile could move out of the way- like a swing arm- so that i can put baby in and out without bumping into the sauers. my husband put it together, so i think it was easy to do. however, he also threw away the directions so i don't know how to make the stars and dangly things rotate. i like the sound of the music- its clear and sounds like real music- even my 9 year old likes the sounds. i wish it played longer and maybe faded out instead of abruptly stopping.
This is a very sturdy product. My granddaughter has a sleigh bed and this mobile did not fit the crib well... we could not center it on the railing. I would have like the attachment parts to be adjustable. Also, the mobile rotates very slowly and the music only plays for 10 mins. I love the melodies and lights that shine on the ceiling.
My baby likes to stare at this even with no movement or music. I agree the movment is slow but the babies can't see it if it moves too fast. In the discription it says "baby activated" I assumed this ment sound activated. To my disappointment, this just means there are buttons on the front for your baby to push.My son is only 3 months and can't do that yet. If i had to do it again i would have gotten something with a remote because some times it takes longer then 10 min. for him to fall asleep. I'm not sure if my baby would agree with me, he seems to be pretty happy with it.
Thought with the name and features it would be wonderful. Put it together and the mobile part of it didn't work!!! Changed the batteries just in case but still wouldn't work. Played music and the light would work on the top but the mobile would not turn. Very disappointed and shocked as this was a Fisher Price product and they had been an excellent value for my children!!!
