I purchased two of these pads for the youth bed shared weekly by my 22 and 21 month old grand-nephews. The pad is soft and makes a very comfortable bed for the boys. It’s also very absorbent so whether the challenge is a leaky diaper overnight or a training pants accident during an afternoon nap, the pad handles the job. I just toss the soiled pad and bedding into the washer and make up the bed with the second pad and clean bedding set. Since the mattress never gets wet, it doesn’t need a separate cleaning or airing before “returning to service”.
I got this mattress pad for my baby's crib because it was cheap and what we could afford. It really is an awesome pad! I was a little worried about shrinkage, since others have stated that as a problem with this and other pads, but I just followed the washing instructions and it fits perfectly! We haven't had any nighttime leaks yet, but it looks like it will do a great job at keeping the baby dry during the night.
Although our baby has not yet arrived, I have washed the crib pad and put it on the crib mattress and it fits perfectly and did not get ruined when I washed it. The only advice I would give is to just not dry the thing, you are only tempting fate. It comes out of the washer drier than other materials and did not take long to air dry at all. I bought an extra one so that I do not have to wait for it to dry, and at this price why not? I think compared to some of the other crib pads out there, this is a really great value and I'm glad I bought it!
I guess they changed the packaging - it was called Baby Connection - Quilted Waterproof Fitted Crib Pad when I bought it but based on price this is the same product. LOVE this thing. Was suspicious of mesh sides but so far extremely durable - washed many times. Fits perfectly. Highly recommend.
I have bought 5 of these mattress pads. I have 3 grandchildren that I take care of and they are on thier beds here and I gave 2 to my daughter for her babies. They have held up well over the years.
Works great. I use two of them- I layer this and a sheet and another one of these and another sheet so if there are unexpected messes overnight it's easy to just rip the top layer off and not have to put sheets on.
I read the reviews on this pad before purchasing two, and they're GREAT! I layered one, then a fitted sheet, then the second mattress pad and another fitted sheet. My son has only had two wet nights, and I just yanked off the top pad and sheet, changed him and we both went back to bed happy. I've never put either of mine in the dryer...just hang them somewhere for a bit and we're good to go.
This is the third I've purchased of these, two for my first child, this one for my up and coming. The pad works exactly as it is supposed to. Stops the accidents from reaching the mattress. However it naps. Badly. The more it is washed the more it naps, the grayer it gets. I have tried different detergents, and the 'accident' stains come out, but the pad still is dingy gray and the napping never goes away. Replaced after 6 months of constant use after it just got too bad for my taste. Honestly, paying around $12 for something that protects the mattress from baby accidents is worth it. But keep in mind this is not an investment piece.
I thought that this would be different when i was purchasing it. i thought that it would be soft and help add a little cusion to the bed matress. but when i recieved it i realized that it was hard and very very thin. My baby is only three months so im not sure about how waterproff it is... but it fits the matress to a T
I bought this and the Serta brand just to compare and I ended up returning this. I'm sure it would serve it's purpose but for a few dollars more, the Serta came in a better material. The material for this looked almost like it had been used and was pilling. I didn't take it out of the package, just opened a corner to feel it, so I couldn't say much about the fit, etc. If you want to save a few bucks and pilled material doesn't bother you, go for it. It will be under the crib sheet anyways.
