i bought this for my husband and he is very happy with this product. he uses it all the time at work, on the boat, on vacation. it will be great anywhere. the sound is great, easy to use also. it's small enough to pack in a suitcase for travel. we love it. it only works with the remote, so don't loose it.
Very very good product....i really like my jbl dock for my iPhone.he make a very clear and loud sound for this small speaker....is so nice very nice quality
The package had everything required for the operation of the “JBL On Stage Micro Portable Speaker Dock for iPod” with exception of the 4 AAA batteries which is quite normal because it comes with an power supply. As I docked my IPod Nano 5G, switched the power on and selected a music to play I could not believe in the result – the sound was clear, loud and with great presence. It sounds like a sound box at least 5 times bigger. It is sufficient to fill a small room with great sound. The remote control works perfectly and the device has additional sound in and output as well as an USB connection. The JBL engineers made a superb work. Together with the IPod the “JBL On Stage Micro Portable Speaker Dock for iPod” forms a decent micro sound system that is also portable, since it can work on batteries too. I can recommend this device.
I bought one as a gift, tested it to make sure it worked well, loved it, and then immediately bought another for myself. It is very handy, effortless to set up, and sounds remarkably clear (especially for its size). Though the remote is a little small - making it less than easy to use - the convenience it provides far outweighs the slight difficulty in using it. Now I bought this product (both times) when it was on super-sale ($40 instead of $100). Is it worth $100?...probably not. But I'd recommend buying it for anything less.
The sound is really good for such a small speaker. Love the versitillity of the in line jack, dc power, battery power and the usb connection.
This portable speaker dock is pretty nice to use. The sound output is great! At first it was difficult to know if the batteries were being used or the plug in outlet (the instructions aren't that detailed). But overall the product works well even though it's a bit on the expensive side. A secondary intent for these speakers where to use them with an alarm clock app but the speakers gave off a humming background noise during the night that disrupted my sleep, but other than that... I would recommend the product if you have extra spending money.
It took many days to get it delivered to my home; i have bought items in Walmart, Overstock and it has always come in just a few days, but may be this time it did not work out! The sound quality is really good and it's really small, almost will fit into a bigger sized palm. But the remote did not function great with my iPod Nano 8 GB model. Volume up and down works, but if i have to toggle between songs, it is very inconsistent. But otherwise no complaints, but these basic things could have been taken care of which is certainly a bit of a pain i would say!
This is a good product and very portable. and also value for money. but it has some cons :- 1> Not completely IPHONE4 compatible. When i play iphone 4 on this.. it displays some weird message saying this devise is not optimized.... though it works and charges my iphone. So it didn't wasted my phone. 2> This would have been better with lithium batteries instead 4 AAA batteries. 3> and the removal of these AAA batteries is not so easy as the battery compartment is a bit clumsy. 4> seems to breakdown at max volume but still audible and worth the value but overall good product at this rate which is extremely portable.
I have the regular On Stage and wanted this one because it says it works with the iPhone. Well, IT DOES NOT. You get the message on your phone when you plug it in that it is not compatible and then if you try to use it anyway, you get a lot of clicking and noise with your music playback. This will work fine for an iPod but do not buy it if you want something that will work with your iPhone!!
This dock has decent sound quality when utilizing an audio cable (not included), but I was disappointed with the constant static feedback when I dock my iPhone. The iPhone will charge in the dock, but attempting to play music when my iPhone is docked is frustrating. And, volume is the only function that works on the remote when using an audio cable to play music. Buyer be aware. Delivery Site-to-Store took 14 days.
