This HD DVD player is awesome. I think that they have better graphics then the blue ray though the blue ray has better memory (dont worry blue ray fans im not trying to put it down, i myslef like both i just like HD DVD better because I think it looks better). I would highly recomend this product. Plus, with the 5 DVD's for free plus King Kong offer you can't go wrong. Honeslty I HATED King Kong on regular DVD. But on HD DVD, the high definition experience makes it the most amaing movie to watch on HD DVD.
I bought this product a few weeks ago and i got the movie of king kong free..It looks really good with my HDTV Im just waiting for my FIVE FREE MOVIES! and there for free with no cost. I recommend this product for the xbox 360 owners aslo if you have a HDTV. you can also see regular dvds on this product.
I enjoyed this product because I recently bought an Hdtv 1080I 30" Samsung and it looks great. The only thing that bothered me off was the widescreen movies. I had to zoom in to view it on the full screen. But even if i zoom in, it still looks great. If you own a 360 and is looking forward to watching great quality movies, I recommend this product. I love it.
best for the money
I finally got the HD DVD bug and picked this up for my Xbox 360 Core unit that i have had for sometime. Out standing product. It can connect to any one of the three USb ports on the console. I used the rear USb connection and connected my Wireless network adaptor to the rear of the HD DVD player as per the instructions. I have a 42 inch plasma HDTV and during game play with the HDTV connections i get 1080i during game play and 720p playing DVD on the console's drive. Now i get 1080i on game play and for the first time ever for the plasma 1080p for HD DVD'd! The picture is so clear it looks like you could literally walk into it! King Kong plus 5 other movies free can't beat that!
The hddvd player for the X box 360 is not really a need but I have wanted one to go with the bluray player I already have for the PS3 I am just a tech nut. But I wish that the player just came in black to match the X box 360 Elite.But it really is the look and sound of perfect.

Great deal and an excellent HD-DVD player. Perfect picture and sound. Originally the dvd player was having software problems with the audio not being in sync with video, but was fixed with an update available on xbox live. Many great features and with Microsoft's Xbox live update there should be many more to come.
this HD DVD player is awesome!!!!!!! it even makes regular DVD's look great!!!!!!!!! ur gettin what u pay 4, i would definitly recommend this product to anyone who has a HD TV!!!!!!!!!!
In the endless debate about which is better, blue-ray or HD, this ends it. IMHO this makes not just my HD movies look great, but it also makes my non-HD movies look great also. I sell both, PS3 and Xbox360 in my job, and Xbox not only has the best catalogue of games, but the HD player has much much more "bang for the buck" as they say.
