This headset really helps in playing Call of Duty 5, when you can hear the footsteps of the enemy team over your own teammates chatting, you know youve got an advantage. This headset, however, is quite heavy, heavier than a couple of my computer headsets. This is a setback and actually makes wearing the headset with glasses somewhat uncomfortable. Great ear padding almost makes the headset noise cancelling. It also has ALOT of cords. This is somewhat annoying, but if you leave the cords coiled out of the package, it isnt too bad. One more thing, if someone with a high voice joins your XBL party, turn the headset down, they are VERY loud and shrill.
I received the X1 headphones for Christmas from my girlfriend. They were quite honestly the perfect gift for me that fell into her budget. These headphones are simply amazing. Yes, they are wired, but the chord is very long and is not an issue for me. The sound is ridiculous. I play Modern Warfare 2 and you wouldn't believe how many times you catch people sneaking up on you now. You can hear footsteps coming from all over (no need for heartbeat sensors anymore). The only draw back I found to these headphones was the lack of an input/output for HDMI cables. So if you hook your 360 up to your tv using a HDMI cable you're also going to need an adapter for that (otherwise switch back to components). That simple fact is the reason I gave it a 4/5 for expectations, but besides that these are PERFECT for hardcore gamers.
I will never use another headset for the est of my gaming life... if i had the money i would have bought the 200 dollar one though.... theres no better headset out there!!!!!!!!
This is an amzing headset it is everything that you would and could expect from a turtle beach. It is the cheapest one but even so it is just as good as the X3's or even the wireless one. It would be a great headset for those of you that play first person shooter games online with people around the world or for those of you who want to keep it quite at night when others are trying to sleep.
Have had these headphones for about 8 months, and they are great. They are wired, so you don't ever have to worry about batteries going out at the wrong moment. Cord is long enough to sit back at least 12 feet without any cord shortage. Great for those folks who want their TV or Gaming loud and won't bother others in the same house/neighborhood. Let's you hear every slight sound while gaming, and mute those folks who are a bit loud when playing online. I did have the mic puck that plugs into the controller break after about 3 weeks of use. Called on a Thurs afternoon, and they had it to me Sat. morning. No problems since. Use them for about 2 hours on a daily basis. Very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time, with lots of padding.
This is the best thing I have ever had. I can hear things that I didn't get to before It's a must!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This product is amazing! Soon as I got it to my house I hooked this thing right up. The setup was easy. Once I entered the game, I felt as though I was there. I mostly play COD4 and the sound is awesome. Feels like your in the movies. This mic doesn't just make sound quality better, but also amplifies surrounding sounds. I.E. there might be a guy near you in the game but on a normal mic its hard to hear that, on this one it makes the noises louder depending which way you're looking. Either up above, down below or left and right the sound will be louder either in the left or right ear. Hope this helps!
I love this headset. I play Halo 3 and CoD4 everyday and this headset is great. I can hear things in the games that I could not hear before. The sound is excellent and you can wear the X1 for about 5 hours without your ears starting to hurt. I will definitely recommend this product.
This headset has really good sound quality, mic works great for me, and is very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. I like the long cord and the in-line volume and mic mute control. Bass sounds good on them too. I don't know how good it works with the 360 because I don't have one and use it with my PC. The only other thing I wish it had would be the option to use it via USB also. Then I could use it with my PS3 as well, but kind of funny I guess since it's partly made for the 360. I guess I can just find an adapter for that somewhere. It kind of gave me a scare once when the sound started sounding raspy and crackly. Though when I restarted my computer, it was fine. It's a good headset overall for the price in my opinion.
