the wireless guitar is easy to use and provides hours of entertainment. Easy set up. Works great! Plenty of options to choose from. Guitar hero III -rock on.
We just bought this for our xbox 360, we have only had it for about 4 weeks and we love it. You should see how our family and bonded by playing guitar hero. My brother and my sister love it so much, they say the wireless controller is awesome, this game is quick to learn and fun to play. Even my 10 year old sister is on exxpert! I would highly recommend this product to ANYONE who loves rock music and video games!
When it comes to Guitar Hero, I am a newcomer. I have always thought of the game as a glorified Simon set to music, however, after the release of Rock Band I quickly got the bug. Got my copy of GHIII Wireless and I fell in love. The wireless Les Paul is key, do NOT buy the wired version of this game if you want to ROCK OUT.
My 11 year old son left all other games behind and plays only with GH. My 7 year old is getting better at it all the time. They both love it. I like that introduces them to classic rock songs (they are impressed, that my husband and I know the lyrics.) and teaches the value of playing an instrument.
This game is so much fun. The wireless controller is great. We have a four year old that rocks out, so we don't have to worry about her tripping over the cord. The only thing that i wish you could do with the game is, use the guitar from rock band with the game. You can use the guitar hero guitar with rock band. We have really had hours of enjoyment with this game. Co-op is really fun too.
I ordered mine through the Walmart website and it just came in today (haven't picked it up yet). We have the same set up at work with the game and wireless controller and it is not only fun to play, but an excellent team building exercise. We have both Guitar Hero III and Rockband here at work, and I would suggest if you are going to get both, to get the wireless guitar that comes in this package and then just the game for rockband. Both have pros and cons, but this wireless guitar is leagues above the rockband wired guitar. (i mean quality and button locations not just wired/wireless). You can use the wireless guitar for both games.
So this is pretty much what everyone has come to expect from a Guitar Hero game. Neversoft has taken over the reigns from Harmonix and made a cautious but significant step forward in the series. In particular, the new multiplayer modes are a greatly appreciated addition, with a full-blown co-op career as well as online play (finally!). The game seems slightly easier due to the game having a little more room for error while playing notes, particularly Hammer-on/Pull-offs. To offset this, the note charts in the game definitely have a more fiendish design, especially the later tracks and several of the bonus songs. The new Les Paul controller is absolutely great. It just feels nice to play. My main criticism of the game is the lack of real standout awesome tracks to play in the first half in comparison to Guitar Hero 2. It seems to have much more of a reliance on three-note chords than previous games as well which may be viewed as a negative or positive depending on the individual. Overall, I thoroughly enjoy the game and plan to get quite a bit of mileage out of it.
I am officially the coolest mom now. Had no clue what to get my son for B-Day till I read the reviews on the Guitar Hero. He loved it. Matter fact I am picking up another for my nephew. The levels are challenging and he says the wireless controller rocks. He is bouncing all of the living room. I promise this will not disipoint..Hours of fun..And the kids even work up a sweat! I have to confess I like it too! Its better than Rock Bands guitar..
Man, that was good. The new wireless guitar was accurate and helped out. Except...this bundle was expensive, $100.
I totally love the game and new guitar, to top it off the song list in my opinion is totally awesome. Unfortunately there seems to be some serious problems with it. One of the major advantages of purchasing the bundle is an additional guitar and the career co-op mode. Well, we first noticed that the game freezes on the third song of level five of the career co-op mode on medium. We tried again on the individual career in the medium mode and the same problem arose when we came to level five again. I am going to seek an exchange for the game in hopes that I just received a poor copy. This would be very unfortunate if the game was placed into circulation with this problem existing. It is not nice to be totally excited for a product and then to be totally let down when the game does not work correctly.
