It cost $60 at gamestop not including tax. It only cost $3 to ship it. so yea its worth it to save $7.
This is an excellent value. Now about it only having 13.8G of capacity, the 6.2g of used space is for the software that allows you to play older XBOX games. I had to do a little research to discover this. I also learned like the drive on my laptop is rated at 500g but due to proprietary software the full 500g is not their. Just as on the larger non-refurb xbox 360 harddrives their full capacity is not all there. So all in all once you understand why you only have 13.8gigs of space it is a great value, jump on this deal!
I used the site to store option which was great and convenient. the product came packaged as if it were brand new and work just fine and even a warranty to back up the refurnbished product...
This Item is great, while it does ship with the previous owners stuff that you have to delete (not a big problem). It has 3 months live ($20 value). and a headset ($20 value). So that is $40 right there, also several people comment that you only get 13gb worth of space, that is because XBOX takes 6-7 gb to store the online memory settings, all hard drives will be minus that 6 or 7 gb not just this one. Great value considering most places charge $60 just for the hard drive alone.
This product is very good i bought it and was thinking it would come with 20 GB of memory but it doesnt. Mine only has like 14GB of space but that is still 14GB more then what i had before. The headset in the package works very good and you also get 3 months of xbox live so that 14GB of hard drive and a headset and 3 month of xbox live for a very good price.
I went to a few different stores and priced the referb,and wasn't happy with the price. The thing I like about this are they are checked by Microsoft and work great!
Best used with the arcade package. If you bought the arcade then chances are you dont need a lot of memory and this amount is perfect and so far no problems! Recommended...
It is a good value for what you get, the only 2 things I found with it is that it came with the previous person's stuff still stored on it, so it all had to be deleted, and then once it was all deleted it said that there was only 13.8 GB of free space, not 20 GB.
I got what I wanted at a very reasonable price. I now have all the memory I neede to play on-line. Thanks!
First off it took over a week to receive the package, after ups wouldn't drop it at my front door like they did the brand new xbox 360 and 2 games that i bought earlier from Walmart.com. It was ok to leave 300.00$ worth of merchandise on my doorstep but this 50.00$ item needed to be signed for? That's ridiculous!! Not sure if that was Walmart that shipped wrong or Ups that screwed up? Anyway the harddrive looks good and works but it only has 14.9 gigs of usable space not 20 gig?? What did they just delete the bad sectors and shorten the size of the drive? They should say that you wont get your full 20 gigs in the ad.
