I have had this razor for a number of years now and have enjoyed using it. With this order I was replacing the heads because the local retailors are not carrying this particular heads.
The rapid delivery, quality and price all contributed to a positive purchase that exceeded all expectations
This is a good electric shaver. It doesn't do your neck very well. However, the feature on the back of the razor that has the trimmer is very good. It is great to do my husbands back neckline with between haircuts.

Something is wrong with these blades. I've been buying replacements every year for about 5 years now and this is the first time I've had to return them and fish my old ones out of the trash. If you can even get through a full shave you're still left with stubble. And it hurts the shave, just constant pulling on my facial hair. Disappointed in Philips.
The replacement blades for my 8270XL did not perform well. An interesting aspect is that the design on the replacement blades wore off very quickly. My original blades (many years old) clearly retained the identifying design. Is someone besides Norelco manufacturing these blades, with less attention to quality?
I have had this Norelco razor for about six years and have regularly replaced the blades every 12-14 months. I have been very pleased with shaving comfort, performance, and closeness...UNTIL the last replacement about two weeks ago. I immediately noticed that the shave was much less close, and shaving takes me two-three times as long to get a mediocre shave with lots of stubble. I have given the blades two-plus weeks to settle in and for my whiskers to adjust but it makes no difference. Something is clearly wrong; this is the first time I have had this problem. The old blades with 14 months use were much sharper and effective. Incidentally, I have been using Norelco shavers for over 15 years.
I've used a Norelco Razor for over a decade and have always been very happy. I've even recommend my Razor to over a dozen people and family members. And now I know many of these people are getting a Norelco for Christmas, I am so disappointed to know that these replacement heads are trash! I can not believe that yall haven't recalled these heads, they really are that bad. I had to pull 2 of mine old ones from the trash and pull apart the pipe under my sink to find the 3rd head just to be able to use me razor again. Why would yall continue to sell them. I fell horrible for recommending Norelco to anyone ever.
Something wrong with these blades. Not getting the same close shave as I have had with other HQ9 replacement blades. Are the openings too small? It used to be a good product.
