I purchased Dr Brown's plastic bottles first and then replaced most of them with glass. I felt better about switching since I was using their bottle warmer... I don't like heating up food in plastic so why would I with milk. I never had an issue with mold or breakage from cleaning by hand-washing/dishwasher. My daughter loves these. We only have a couple more left since she thinks throwing the bottle across the room means your 'all done'. I would love to get notified if these are available again so I can hopefully use with my second child.
I bought these last year and am in love with them! They do not leak at all, they are easy to clean. Just excellent bottles! The new wide mouth Dr. Brown bottles can't even hold a candle to the quality of the previous glass standard Dr. Brown bottles. Why the glass standards were discontinued I can't figure out why? They were so wonderful. Please bring them back.
Dr Browns was recommended to me while I was pregnant, and I am so happy they were. These bottles are great for colicky babies, and I feel better storing breast milk in glass bottles. I have been using the 4 oz bottles for 4 months now, and the quality is great. Just bought the 8 oz bottles for the next chapter.
I used dr browns bottles with my first child but the plastic version and I hated how they'd retain smell especially with formula. Now with the glass I can have best of both worlds!
It's a great bottle, and my son loves it. But the nipples that come with it is kind of big, maybe 6-9 months. I had to buy some different nipples, but it was an easy fix, and I will end up using them anyway. So it's a great product.
Would have loved to see the product on the shelf but there wasn't any. However, Walmart site to store got me the product within a few days with free shipping.
I love these bottles! The glass version is even nicer than the plastic version. The glass ones stay nicer longer, and look much more expensive. They are very durable I have not had any issue with cracking or breaking. I have had no leaks, and they seem to keep the baby from having gas. I personally, would not suggest buying glass bottles in 8oz size, because babies large enough to use the 8oz size can and tend to throw their bottles, and I would not want to risk glass breaking near or on my baby. But I do highly recommend these glass bottles in the 4oz bottles, you will really get your monies worth. The glass bottles will last you through more than one child and still look brand new; while the plastic ones will develop a foggy color, fade, and eventually smell odd.
My fiancé and I bought these as our baby was having problems digesting formula! He was very colicky after he ate as he was getting a lot of air through our regular bottles. We bought these bottles and it fixed everything! He is not colicky anymore after he eats! Its beautiful! It was like a whole new baby!
I absolutely love and recommend these because I prefer glass over plastic. I have used them for my infants and transfered my toddler to the plastic sometimes because she throws the bottles around after drinking milk and also if she falls asleep drinking, I dont like her to hurt herself because the bottle is heavy. Easy to clean, no plastic chemical leaching into the milk when heating milk in bottle warmers. Only downfall is leaking sometimes.
I have the 4 and 8 ounce bottles. With my baby I only use glass and it has been great except that you will have to change out a few since they crack (or at least mine) cracked on the top of the bottle where you screw the top on. It only seems to happen on the 8 ounce bottles. I just thought it weird that they crack since they aren't cheap! Other than that they are great!!
