Looked all over for one of these. It cooks evenly, chills in fridge without hogging the entire shelf like larger versions do, cleans easily and is just ideal for baking ricotta type cheesecakes for gifts such as house warming's, thank you's or just for family. They are a little pricey but worth every penny considering their delicious longevity.
Fits the 6 quart instant pot pressure cooker.
For a long time I looked for a small springform pan for cheesecakes for a small family, but what I found was way out of my budget. Then I checked Walmart online and found this great little pan for a reasonable price. It works very well - just cut a full-size recipe in half.
I bought these (2 pans a 6x2 and 6x3 because that what the store had left.) about 3 months ago. I thought the extra height would make a difference but since I weight the batter before baking, they come out even ready to level. I love them I have no complaints so far.
Durable construction and the size I wanted to bake smaller Christmas cakes for gifts. Ordered online and arrived promptly!
The perfect size for your 6 qt electric instant pot pressure cooker. Also a good size for small cheesecakes or whatever. I really like this pan and the size. It is deeper than any other 6" pan I have found.
These pans "need to be wrapped in foil" because they do leak. But, with that said, they did an excellent job. Make sure to butter the inside of pan sides & bottom good ! Then put parchment paper or wax paper on the inside "round bottom" because it will allow you to remove the cake a lot easier. The bottom has ridges & makes the crust difficult to remove w/o the paper under the crust. I am very happy with my two 6" pans & you can use any 9" cake recipe to make two 6" cakes. Don't forget to put the 6" pans into 8"or9" pans & fill with as much water as possible if you are doing cheesecake. It keeps the tops from cracking I made 2 "BEAUTIFUL" 6"cheese cakes at 325-350% for 1 1/2 hrs. in a water bath. PS.....I am a REAL customer !! lol
Good size for a new learner to do trial and error or to make a cake for 2-3 people. And yeah, it leaks but I used foil to wrap its bottom&sides so it works well without problems.
The metal seems very cheap and malleable. The first time I used these pans the batter leaked out the bottom despite the pans being completely closed. I've used springform pans my entire baking career and never experienced this problem. Terrible product. I would recommend shopping around for a better springform.
I picked the best of 8 pans from Michael's. Took it home, washed it and the aluminum wouldn't slide in the grooves to allow it to close properly. Promptly returned it.
