Worth the $$!
Very pleased, it works great, very quiet, not too bad to assemble.
The assembly says two people are required, but if you have a background in sciences and a lot of spunk, it's possible to DIY. Some parts are quite heavy though. The machine itself is better than I expected for a discount elliptical. It's rear drive, very similar to using a bicycle but without the seat. Initial wobbling receded after turning up the resistance. The workout itself is great: it works everything below the ribs and it burns calories fast. The machine is very basic: it's not there to do crazy inclines or to massage your feet. It's there to run and sweat on. If you're a beginner at exercise, this is a good choice. If you want to see if you actually work out with a machine at home, this is a great machine for you. If you're below 5'4" tall, this is a fantastic machine for you. The arms won't over extend and the stride length is totally believable. If you're above 5'6, this is not going to be worth your time. It's just not going to work your body the way a properly fitted machine will. For a five-foot-nothing person who hated the 'going' part of going to the gym, this has been a great investment.
I was a little disappointed in this product when we started the assembly process. Took forever, and the frame was cracked. Had to order that and another part that had broken. Seems somewhat made of cheap material. When I first started a workout, I was also surprised on how shaky it was. Nothing like the gym! I wish I had waited and saved more money to buy a better, and more stable elliptical. Guess I am stuck with this one now, but more luck to you!! :)
Not happy at all. When i was searching for similar products this one was in my budget, not to mention the fact that i own other proform machines, and i've never had problems with them. But this purchase was doomed, i could sense it. At that time, it was on sale but stores around me didn't have them instock, and there wasn't the option to pick up at store, so i put my order online. I received it quickly but of course after the fact that i took each part carefully out of box and seperated all my parts, i realized on my last part (which was the body or frame cover) was completly damaged. All the screws that hold the cover in place by the wheel where all broken from the inside and some where stuck on the bottom of machine, only at this time, was when i noticed how poorly this frame was manufactured. So i returned it to the store, lost my shipping money, but still purchased another machine at store. Hope others have better luck.
