I've been a T-Mobile pay as you go custom for years and each phone I've used came directly from Walmart. All have served me well. This, being my third phone, is the best so far. It's packed with features you'd expect to find in a high end phone (without) the high end price. If you're a T-Mobile pay as you go customer and you want the look & feel of a high end phone the Galaxy S4 won't let you down. Order one now, drop by any T-Mobile shop and they'll transfer your old sims card into your new Galaxy S4 phone... Enjoy!
I previously had a Galaxy S2, and I liked it, but this is so much better. It's much faster and more responsive. And, like the S2, the camera is amazing. The lastest Samsung was out of my price range but, for $200, this is an amazing deal. I truly love it!
I wanted another Galaxy 3, but could not get it and instead got the S4. I am so happy I did. It is certainly user friend...even for an old person. It has even more great features than the old phone.
The S4 is a solid phone with great feature and a great display. In my case, my S4 stopped working and I didn't want to spend $6-700 on a new S7. I tried to find a new S5 but was unable to and since the S6 lacks an SD card port that was out of the question. So for me, this was a great way to get back up and running and not spend an arm and leg. The only drawback to this phone is that it can't run the newest Android OS.
I am happy I bought this phone for myself. So much so I bought 3 more as gifts for my friends. This phone has a lot of memory on it and combine that with a 32 memory sd card then the sky's the limit.
The smart phone world is so complicated and driven mostly by emotion and status rather than actual need or practical use. If you agree with that, and you actually are on any sort of budget that requires daily decisions, this phone will do more than any mortal really needs and is a real bargain at this price and time. T-mobile tech support is very unreliable, so try to activate online (that is probably the motive behind the poor phone support). Once activated it works well. Clear voice. The 3GB prepaid at $40 per month unlimited text/talk and internet is perfect for me and just fits my budget.
I had an LG G3 but it broke, so I'm comparing this to that one which is really like apples to oranges. The G3 a much better phone but also cost a Whole lot more. Also this is the first Samsung I've ever owned. So far for the price this phone is exceptional except for the 13 mgpx camera. Some photos are great but It does not have the OIS (optic stabilization) so some pics are blurry, and the shutter is slower than I expected but there is a burst shot mode. Also there's only 4 times zoom and when you zoom out the photos are blurry. I've also tried to get close up shots of bees on flowers, etc and they are blurry, There again probably from No OIS. I got it on sale for $149.00 which for a smart phone with 13 mgpx is an outstanding price and the phone itself I find a good phone! The keypad buttons when dialing are large and I like that. I use talk to text and it works great plus the swype is easy. Fingers glide easily even with a glass protector on it. I like emojis and was upset they didn't have any when you text but I asked google and found out that you find them on the microphone icon next to the space button. The apps were easy to load, there's some that you can't remove that are preloaded and I'd rather not have them but I had that on the verizon g3 as well. I got this and put it on a Wal-Mart T-mobile $40.00 a month plan. There's 7 blank 'pages' and I'm only using 5 so there's a lot of room to put your apps/icons. You need to get an SD card for it though. It's large enough to read and still fit in your purse or pocket . For the Price you can't beat the phone itself. I would recommend this to a friend.
I prefer the older versions of the Samsung Galaxy phones, so I was thrilled to find a new on for a great price on Walmart.com. The description said it was a T-mobile "prepaid" phone, but did not explain what that was. When the phone arrived, the outside of the box explained that it was prepaid and the service would be $40 a month. Since I already have service with T-Mobile, I thought I would have to send the phone back. After calling T-Mobile I was told that that particular model would work with my current service and would not cost an additional $40 a month. I was relieved.
Great phone for calling and texting which is about all I do. Just switched SIM card from old phone, selected a few settings and it was good to go. I am a senior and not in to technology but this was so easy. Phone does everything I need.
I really really like the phone but too bad it gets overheating when I charge it for the first time, I bought two of them for my parents and both of them get overheating right at the time we start to use or charge them :(
