I chose the Galaxy SIII after reading several reviews. I decided to purchase it and was not disappointed at all. Since I take a lot of pictures of my overseas vacation travel with my wife, I immediately check out the camera features including the Gallery and photo editor. The lens is super sharp specially in HDR mode. This HD photo mode is as sharper image as the competitor but for hundred of dollars less. The video also is very sharp. The phone voice is very clear. I use a 5G WIFI in my home and all the apps including IE and Google, Facebook, WhatsApp upload and execute like lighting. The best of all is the price I paid. I saved myself hundred of dollars with the Galaxy S III, over other cell phones packed with the features.
This is the second Samsung Galaxy S3 phone I have owned. I would highly recommend this phone. I have never had any problems with this phone. Excellent for watching movies on Netflix, browsing the web, downloading and listening to music, taking pictutes, and excellent call quality on all calls. You name it, it works well. The only inconvenience for me was the battery life. But I just make sure I have my house and car charger with me at all time. But other than that "EXCELLENT PHONE".
Great phone, bought it to replace a LG that had very little storage. This phone has lots, plus I bought a 16 GB SD card for even more storage. The only issue I have is the battery doesn't last long.
I've used the galaxy s3 with Virgin Mobile for several years. You can't beat the price for the service that you are getting! I love the s3 phone it gives me everything that I need. I really don't need the other fancy features that go beyond with the S + versions . Granted you don't get a lot of data with the Walmart plans or with any Virgin Mobile plans unless you pay extra - but for my needs it works just fine. I replaced my first s3 with a Walmart S3 (because my mother board was damaged) and I have had no problems with it whatsoever. It has worked great the plan has worked fine for me I haven't had any problems with the transmission. Buying another one for my 11 year old. BTW the Walmart phones are a different division of Virgin mobile and handled as a separate carrier. I like the parental controls on the Walmart family plan - that is why I am adding another phone for my kid.
it does work with virgin....but you have to use data done wrong service...Its about the same service except they take away the cheep hotspot. you have to pay 60 bucks for hotspot and phone. the phone has good ram and rom. its the phone I wanted a few years ago so I pulled the plug. it still impresses me and others at work for an aged phone. it looks the same as the s5 really. if you want the same virgin experience then stay away from data done right. its not that much different except not unlimited data and no 5 dollar hotspot...
I have used the Samsung III for two years and needed a new one. This one I purchased doesn't seen to work as well; videos seem to glitch and seems slower at loading photos. Also, customer service (upon the purchase a change over to the new phone) referred to the service being 3G/4Gservice compared to the other being 4G only, this in turn I have noticed being "out of range" , "no service" in places that I have had service before. Also, I used to pay $55.00 for unlimited calls and data, and that has changed to $40.00 they say I get the same, but like I said, I am out of range and I can't seem to even connect to Wifi in my home when I could get it before. The phone itself is a good phone, but it seems Virgin has downgraded it's coverage for the phone. In the future I will try another carrier.
I currently have a virgin mobile phone and I bought this to just swap phones and I couldn't because the box says "data done right" which the service rep at virgin mobile explained that means id have to open a whole new account. I'm not sure if this is just because it was purchased at Walmart and I heard a rumor that they are not affiliated with each other anymore? but anyways just be careful what phone you buy there, I didn't look at the other phones to see if hey said something different on the box indicating if youll be able to jut swap phones or not. so if your new to virgin mobile then go for it, dont forget youll need a starter card AND a top up card to get it activated(stupid I know?) goodluck!
I recently changed from the Virgin Mobile Pay Low Plan to this Data Done Right Plan. Be warned that even though it's the same carrier and same model of phone I had on the previous plan, it's not the same! Coverage has dropped significantly in both strength and area covered. I am receiving constant drop outs where I never had trouble before. I would recommend buying a single phone first to ensure it will meet your needs in your location. I was going to add additional phones to the plan to cover the family, but I will have to rethink my plan. Going cheaper is not always best, in this case it cost me.
The phone is fine. It's the data plan that is terrible. I didn't understand that this plan charges extra for "roaming." I assumed the service area would be the same as my other Virgin Mobile phone that I had used for four years, but I was wrong. The phone is very nice, great camera, easy to use, but I will have to replace it soon because I didn't understand that I wouldn't be able to use the phone outside of my home city unless I purchase the add-on package EVERY time I travel. BEWARE, consumer. "Data Done Right" is a scam.
So I just got this phone in the mail and was very upset when I tried to set up the phone and was told that virgin mobile and Walmart are not longer affiliated with each other. No where online or on the box for the phone is this said. So instead of having to change carriers, I am return this phone ASAP and getting a new one hopefully soon elsewhere. So if you are thinking of getting this for Virgin Mobile user, I would suggest rethinking!!!!
