A friend that had had eye surgery recommended this product to me so I didn't buy them for sinus pain. I ordered 2 and kept both in the freezer until after the surgery, then alternated the cold masks. They helped with the pain and the bruising was very minimal which I felt was due to the full coverage of the eye area. I am sure if I ever have a sinus infection it would work just as well. I like the masks because you can use the velco straps to keep them in place plus one side is colder than the other so you can easily switch sides as needed.
With chronic sinus infections and malformed turbinates I am in constant pain from level 2 to 9. I need something to allow me to switch off with another product I bought at the same time, the cap. I would suggest this item for a very important factor, it has a fleece like surface on one side and plastic on the other. Using velcro strap it in place gives a personal touch. It is ten times better then the ice pack sold for puffy eyes in the cosmetic department.

My daughter purchased a Bed Buddy brand sinus mask from Walmart and I tried to find one at every Walmart I went to, but no luck. So, I ordered the Thera-Med. I am a little disappointed because the plastic side is way too cold to put on my face and the fabric side doesn't stay cold long enough. The Bed Buddy has fabric on both sides and no opening for the nose (which I would prefer) and it seems to hold the cold longer.
This sinus mask hurts my nose when I wear it. The plastic is sharp & it's rather hard to breath with it on.
