great diapers

I love these diapers. They are great value and well made. However, I think the extra cloth liner is a must. The bio-degradable liners are also great for easy cleanup.

I highly recommend this product. I actually prefer these to disposable diapers. My family said that I wouldn't use these but I have a little boy who would leak through disposable diapers and his clothes. All brands of disposable. It was embarrasing when people would hold him and he would leak all over them. Now my laundry load is lighter. My husband too finds these easy to use and likes the fact that I am not sending him out for disposables. Also with these the cost is upfront not day by day Once you buy your supply that is it. With the exception of the liners. These are absolutely wonderful. If you are unsure or hesitant about how easy these are try them!!! But make sure you buy the liners that go along with them. I highly recommend them both.

Best Cloth Diapers Ever!

These diapers are so great and easy to use. We have tried a diaper service, folding diapers, diaper wraps, and disposable. Kushies All in Ones are the best. We have experienced fewer leaks with these than any other type of diaper including disposable. They are so easy to use my husband will even do it. They wash well and save us lots of money. I did have to find tricks to wash out the odor they have without using bleach. Vinegar seems to work well as does dish soap. This was a great purchase and Wal-Mart has the best price on them too.

Great for first time cloth diapering.

These diapers are great for the price. I've tried Bum Genius, and I think these are just as good for half the price! I can use a cold cycle and line dry them and have never had a problem with staining or stinking. I would recommend the infant size for 15lb to 25lb...they fit my 6 month old and two year old who is potty trained. I don't think you'd have to buy the toddler size unless you have a big toddler.

Worth the effort

I wish I had tried Kushies with my first two kids, I would have saved so much money! Baby #3 is 10 months old and we just tried Kushies for the first time. We also use the cloth AND flushable liners with every diaper. They are bulkier than disposables but she doesn't seem to notice the difference. They also need changed more frequently than disposables but that is the only downside, and they still last 2-3 hours between changes. We do use disposables at night because the Kushies really won't last more than 4 hours max for our daughter without leaking. They are definately worth the money.

Some helpful hints

Overall great product. Compared to Bumkins, Kushies are about the same but a better value. Some tips: I started fastening them low on the velcro strip and we're working our way up and out as he grows. Don't fasten them too tight - I usually sit my son up to make sure his belly isn't too squished since they don't stretch like a disposable. My son wears these during the day and I use disposables during the night. Why? I've noticed that he wakes as soon as he wets and I don't want to disturb his wonderful and much appreciated night sleeping habits. Also, I use Desitin at night to prevent rash since he does sleep so long - Desitin will effect the absorbancy of the Kushies because it's so thick and hard to wash out. I use Petrolum Jelly during the day, it stays on and washes easily from the diapers - I'm sure it will work great for the night too! On that note, be sure to read and follow the care directions. I ordered the Kushies recommended amount of 25 diapers. 25 Kushies are lasting me for 2 days, so I wash every other evening. I am starting to notice some small holes starting on the outer shell on the inside of the legs where the pleats are. I think that if I ordered 15 more diapers that would fix the problem because I won't have to wash them as often. Kushies leak about the same as a disposable diaper, sometimes little ones just explode! I also ordered 10 of the washable liners but have not used them. I will probably order some of the flushable liners when my son begins eating solids. Hope this helps...Good Luck!

I love these diapers

My sister used these diapers on all three of her kids, so when I became pregnant I new I wanted to use them too. I have 20 of the 10-22 lbs size diapers and we've been using them since she was about a month old (she's 16 months now). The initial investment may seem steep, but it's worth it in the long run. These diapers have held up amazingly well through countless washes in hot water and bleach and I'll be using them until my little girl is either potty trained or busting out of them. The manufacturer does say not to wash them in hot water and bleach, but I did find they weren't coming clean enough and my daughter was getting a few more diaper rashes so I wash them in hot water and bleach every three washes or so. This is one reason I'm only giving them 4 stars. The other reason is that they are not good for overnight use. I found they leaked when used overnight and my daughter woke up in the night more, so I use disposables at night time now. Other than that these are a great product and I highly recommend them.

Kushies are great AIO diapers and so easy to use. Even Daddy will use these! They are a great place to start if you are interested in Cloth Diapering as they are quite a bit cheaper than some diaper systems. We have been using Kushies for 6 months now and have no complaints!

Leak anyone!

Well I have used a variety of different cloth diapers to see which we like best. These are one of the better diapers. More expensive ones are soft in and out and offer a lot elastic to ensure a perfect fit. But, they all seem to soak through and wet the outer shell and baby's clothing. The Kushies from the start seemed a bit industrial. The outer shells are decorative yet very durable. They do feel a bit like vinly (but this is good, not soak throughs). The inner cotton is very absorbent and the soaker layer is think, you also have the option of using an insert that can be adjusted in the front for boys and the middle for girls. The inside is soft and keeps baby dry. The main problem in sizing them. Baby is 14 pounds and we still can't get is non-chubby thighs create a good leak proof seal. I do recommend that you get the disposible liners (what ever brand of cloth diapers you get) it makes solid clean up a lot less of a deal. Overall Kushies is a solid product that is great on baby's heiny.

Review from an Experienced Cloth Diapering Mama

As far as Cloth Diapering goes, these are horrible. If you like your baby running around sounding like they're wearing a plastic bag, then these are for you. They are not at all absorbant, have no liners, no pockets for liners, no doublers, no nothing. The weight limits stated are also WAY off. No way would these fit a 10 lb baby. There are MUCH better alternatives to these cheap dipes. I'd rather spend a little more and have my baby comfortable and dry, then go the cheap route with these.
