I currently use this on my dogs of all sizes, and all of my little guys continue to be pest free. I have just bought more online will continue to do so. Great value.
We have completely switched from Frontline Plus to PetArmor after trying it for 6 months on three of our dogs. While the label said it was the same ingredients as Frontline, we wanted some personal experience before making a full switch, just as we would do with a new generic medication for ourselves. After 6 months we did not see any difference on the test dogs, meaning no ticks or fleas, and that was the point. We chose the ones with the shortest coats, so that they would be the easiest to spot fleas or ticks on. Now all 7 dogs are on Pet Armor, saving us quite a bit of money each month. Our dogs mean a lot to us and we were not about to skimp on their health, But like for ourselves, if there was a cheaper way to do the same thing, why not take it. And that's what we decided to do. I read a couple of the other reviews for PetArmor as I was preparing to order more and then thought to write this review. It was interesting that people with house and yard flea problems thought that putting this or any other flea preventive on their dog would clear that up and were then angry when it didn't. This product, like Frontline or any other medication that is put on a dogs skin, is designed to prevent fleas and ticks from attaching to your dog, not treat ones already in the house or the yard. Expecting anything else is simply unrealistic.
I have used Frontline for years and made the switch recently. I will never go back to that high cost product while I have Petarmor as an option. Love it Love it Love it!!!
Great product! I had my doubts about the quality being as good as Frontline, I have been proven wrong. My Italian Greyhound hasn't been bothered by fleas since. Thank-you!!!
After reading the reviews I was hesitant to try PetArmor Plus. I have used Frontline Plus on my dog for as long as I have owned him (3 years) but upon researching PetArmor Plus I found that the product has the same active ingredients as Frontline Plus with a much smaller price tag. Basically, it's a generic form of Frontline Plus. While some people may swear by the name brands, I was willing to give it a try. I have used PetArmor Plus for three months with no signs of fleas or ticks. My dog is an indoor boy but does enjoy time walking in the woods and hanging out in the backyard, again with no signs of fleas or ticks. On a side note: Flea medications often take three or more days to kill fleas/ticks that one's dog may have tracked in from outside. Also, if the fleas take hold in the carpeting, furniture, etc of the home then a simple monthly flea treatment will not stop the infestation.
We were happy to find this! A bargain! NOT! After a couple of weeks of putting it on our dog, I seen a flea on her. I turned her over on her back to see if there were more on her stomach. Believe me, there were more and "flea dirt" along with it. We immediately took her to the vet. Needless to say, we won't be buying this product again. I would rather pay more and know my dog is protected.
I used this product for the last 4 months and today I had to purchase Foggers for my home. It is normal to see one or two fleas on your pet so I was not worried but after leaving Frontline Plus four months ago I now have fleas in my home and my pet's bottom is skinless from the bites. We get him a flea dip every other month in addition to treatment I can only beleive that the Frontline that he has had for the last two years finally wore off and it was all on the PetArmor and it failed Horribly!!! I will pay more instead of seeing my dog suffer and my teens at risk......
I thought I'd give this a go. I had used Advantix in the past. I'm going to give natural methods a go now. I wasted over $ 50 on this (and another pack for my other dog). It's been almost 4 weeks since I applied it and the poor guys are still covered in fleas. I have also treated the house (although we don't have carpet and the dogs don't go upstairs). Don't waste your money buying a cheaper inferior product!
I've used Frontline on my dogs and cats for over a year. They're inside dogs but we live in a heavily wooded area. At first this stuff seemed to do okay, but within 10 days of application we've found fleas on all our animals. Comparing this to Frontline is false advertising; I'm generally a fan of generic products for my home but I'll never throw my money away on this again. Between all 3 of my animals I paid over $95 for 3 months worth of water!
I have two inside/outside dogs. Never really had a problem with ticks until this year. Usually I buy flea and tick protection from the vet but I decided to give this product a try. Made no difference at all. I think they may even have more ticks now than they did before. I do not recommend wasting your money on this product.
