The clock have big and clear numbers.
I needed a clock that was small enough to not take up space but provide sufficient lighting to be able to detect at night. This alarm clock definitely met both requirements!
I bought this clock just to have a simple alarm clock in another room. The first time using the alarm, while attempting to turn it off, the switch pushed completely inside of the clock. Returned it and got a replacement thinking maybe just got a bad one. Exact same thing happened with the replacement. The switch is mounted on the inside of the case and is held in position with 4 tiny little plastic tabs also on the inside of the case. The amount of pressure it takes to flip the switch on or off is all it takes to break the tabs. Alarm clock no longer. It's a great clock, but don't attempt to use the alarm function.
This clock looks nice. That's the only positive thing about it. I've owned this clock for less than a month and it's broken, with normal usage. For the first two weeks it worked perfectly. In the last week and a half, the alarm hasn't been going off when it's set to. When the alarm did work, it would not shut off when I turned the alarm switch to "Off". A few days ago, I tried to slide the button to the "Off" position, and the whole button fell into the side of the clock! Pay a few more dollars and get a clock that actually lasts, not this one!
I don't recommend this clock. #1) the one screw that held it in the box was stripped and wouldn't unscrew. (That was a bad sign and I should of returned it then.) #2) It would seem simple enough to set the alarm. I set it correctly and switched it on, but the alarm has not once gone off. This is a bad buy.
Like the 9 people above me I can report that this clock runs fast-about 5 to 10 minutes a day. I tried it in several outlets with no change. Even the cheapest clock should keep time! It's not worth my time to try to return it (without the packaging), but I won't be buying Sharp products anymore.
Runs 6-10 minutes a day. Continues to accumulate as days progress.
First we bought one early in the day for just a simple clock in our room. My husband set it up and this hunk of junk doesn't even keep time. It jumps ahead so far it's crazy. So we went back thinking no way will the next one suck. Well shocker the next one only half the numbers light up. We already threw one box away so it's a 6 dollar loss. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this clock!!!
It doesn't keep time. It"s terrible.
I bought this at my local Wal-Mart & ended up taking it back a couple days later. It does not keep the time because it runs fast. If you are looking for a clock, save yourself a headache & do not buy this one.
