I bought this product on-line as Wal-mart does not have this product in stores. When I opened the box I verified all the parts were included and organized my work area. I then did what I always do...read through the instructions first. However, as soon as I was ready to begin, a problem appeared that took me almost two hours to correct. The surface mat was off kilter because one of the hooks that held the front end in place had been knocked out during shipping. There was no answer at the manufacturer's help line because it was the weekend (apparently these products are only assembled between 9 am and 430 pm on weekdays). I tried to put the mat back in place without taking any parts off. Eventually, I had to remove the entire front end that housed the rollers and the back end to get access to those rollers. By the time I was done, I was too tired to use the treadmill! Not a good first experience with ordering large items from Wal-mart or a first time buyer with Paradigm products. I would hope that others have had a much better experience. As for recommending the product, it works well for people with mobility issues that make it difficult to use a motorized treadmill. Yes to the product only.
Just received this treadmill in the mail. The package weighs 70 pounds, and it took me an hour or so to unpack it and assemble it (using none-too-clear instructions), and then I realized that the axle that holds in the top of the treadmill belt wasn't even in the correct slot on one side, so the belt just droops on that end (and the whole thing obviously can't be used). And the belt is too tight to adjust the axle into the correct hole. So now I have to return it. That is a completely unacceptable lack of quality control. And now I've wasted my shipping fees and taxes, which aren't being refunded, and will have to decide whether to risk a different product (including waiting for its arrival, paying more shipping and taxes, and investing more time in assembly), which hopefully won't be this horrifically made. Don't risk buying this lousy product - the manufacturer clearly doesn't care about its products, and it might waste your time and money outrageously, too.
