[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this putty, works great to cover up brad nail wholes and other small imperfections/mistakes. As it comes in a bunch of different colors, I found it pretty easy to find a good match. It's really easy to apply, just take a little pinch of it and roll it between your fingers, then push it in, and it barely needs sanding when dried. I've been using the natural pine color wood putty and it worked perfectly with poplar, birch ply, and maple. Definitely a great thing to have in my tool bag.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hubby uses Minwax for a lot of imperfections around our house. Normal living in your home will often result in nicks and scratches on different things. The nice thing about this particular Minwax wood putty in white is that we can touch up wood door frames, trim work and other items that tend to get scratched, scuffed and nicked. It doesn't harden but will fill your scratches, nail holes and and other and then you can just touch up with white paint where needed. Minwax is designed especially for minwax wood stains. So choose your color appropriately.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This putty is very easy to work with, dries fairly quickly and sands to a smooth finish. I felt like this putty filled in the various holes and imperfections in the wood very well, that needed to look it's best for a customer. I was happy with the perfect match to the wood and the end result of a smooth finish that made the wood look flawless. I highly recommend and would buy this product again as it's easy to use and you get a great end result.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product over a screw and the screw hole. The product was easy to get out of the bottle by pinching out what was needed and rub into the hole. We had colder weather and snow today the and the table it was used on is an outside table. After checking it earlier it has held up to the wet and has held up to the wet and cold temperatures
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I decided to replace some wood molding in our home. The nail gun puts tiny holes in the molding that need to be filled. This product was super easy to use, no mixing needed. Minwax is a solid brand! I've previously used Minwax wood stain before, and was super happy with the product, and how my project turned out. It's super convenient Minwax wood putty comes in several different colors. We used white molding so I picked up the white colored Minwax wood putty. The amount of wood putty in the container was more than enough, we had a good amount leftover. I was able to fill a couple gouges in other molding we had, that we weren't replacing. This is a great product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent putty for filling small holes. I really like that it comes in a variety of colors that can be purchased. They purposely sell the colors that match stains by Minwax as well so if you fill a nail hole with the same color that the wood has been stained then it should and DOES match perfectly. Little nail holes or minor imperfections are completely covered and you cannot see them at all. I highly recommend this to anyone that uses Minwax products or has stains that match in color and need to cover small holes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Minwax Wood putty works well especially in hiding screw holes, nail holes, etc in Wood you may want to stain leaving a smooth surface on any of your wood projects around the house. A really great product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stuff is great whether you use it for woodwork, furniture, crafts, etc. I love that they make different shades to match the Minwax stains and you can mix them for a customized color. There's little to no prep involved, just stain and topcoat your project before applying and make sure it's clean and dry. Press the putty to the surface and spread it, wipe excess away with a damp cloth. I use a small craft spatula to apply but you could use a scraper, spreader, spatula or anything else to apply it. Great for filling in holes or nails, fixing scratches, etc. I didn't notice a smell when using it and my daughter has asthma and is super sensitive to smells and she never mentioned it. Highly recommend.
I brought my kitchen drawer to my local woodworking store to get their opinion on the best filler and color match to fill holes left in the cabinet and drawer fronts after replacing pulls and knobs. The putty sunk a bit and was refilled after 3 months. Very easy application and clean-up. My only disappointment was the putty was quite dried out on top in the jar after 3 months. I was stored in the back of a kitchen drawer. Will probably top it off with a little water this time. While the fill is not perfect, it is good enough until I decide if I want to do a more detailed kitchen renovation.
I used the stainable wood filler on my stairs to patch the staple divots and cover all the nail holes. It completely repelled my Minwax stain and left the stair completely splotchy. I tried standing over it and staining again and the spots are all still there. Very disappointed as I don't know how to continue other than painting the stairs now.
