My husband & I had cell phones that were on a contract for many years. We had unlimited minutes & for the last few months I used an average of 5 mins & my husband about an hour. Also my phone would access the Net while in my purse - not good! These phones seem to be at least as good as our previous ones & no monthly bill!! Also being flip-phones no nasty surprises with the phone doing it's own thing. Saving a lot of $$$.

i bought this as a backup charger to keep spare batteries charged. i have another lg420 and it is a great phone. it gets great reception and coverage. i'm sure the new one works as good as my other lg so if the old one goes bad i will activate the new one. not a bad price for a spare battery and to keep spare batteries charged. l

I found the phone is easy to use and does a good job, it will not let transfer your old phone numbers from another TracFone. It will also not let you list more than one phone number to an individual....Cell phone is the only option, why would they do such a thing? most people have a home phone and maybe a business phone, which is not available with this phone. They screwed up on this. I do like the double minutes and camera but it will not take movies...

This camera phone came with a car charger, and a leather belt holder, and a computer jack doodad, 10 minutes and the wall charger... we added the $20.00 card to get 120 minutes on the phone....excellent deal and the ship to store was not a problem. I bought a walmart gift card and used that to pay online..they texted me and picked it up..dont forget your ID! Very Happy

This phone has all the features required in a compact, lightweight form for a low, low price. All features are user friendly and easy to learn and operate. I wish the display was a little larger to make it easier to read. Nevertheless, all in all, an excellent buy.

The phone works great, but our issue came with activating the service. When we called, we were told that the service could not be activated in our area. However, on the Wal-Mart website it indicated that the service would work in our area. We ended up having to activate at my sister's house to get it going. The funny thing is that my son has good service in our area and has no problem using it, but it was VERY frustating trying to get it activated. My suggestion is check with Trac-fone to verify service before purchasing. Lucky for us we were able to get it activated but only because we did it in another city.

We have had this phone for about a month now. We just bought the 60 minute card to go with it so we wouldn't be out too much if we didn't like it. We had been using AT&T for about 3 years prior to considering the TracFone. Before we canceled our AT&T, we wanted to give this a "try". Now, having said all that, we are VERY pleased with the TracFone. We live in a small town, where some people experience "dead zones" (mainly with T-Mobile). We have not experienced any dead zones with this phone. The minutes were easy to add and it gave us double, so we had 120 minutes. Texting takes .3 of a minute for each text and of course, minutes are deducted depending on how much you talk. It takes pictures, but the quality is not very good. It offers a basic ring tone and sounds, but I read where more can be downloaded. I recorded a message and use that as my ring tone. It's cute. I also added a photo I took with the phone as my wall paper. I love that the minutes and service is on the screen, so you never have to guess how much time/minutes you have left. My only complain would be that the phone can be hard to flip open as it's slick and very rounded. All around good phone, excellent price, and good service. We are thinking about getting a 2nd one.

I purchased a Tracphone for minimal usage, like when the car won't start and I need AAA. The LG420G has many more features than I expected: calandar, alarm clock, appointment scheduling, camera, etc. It seems to be a great phone for the price and the double minutes offer is great. I was really happy with the phone for the 1st. 30 days. On the 31st day the phone locked up during the start up. I removed the battery and sims card several times to "reboot" the phone, but nothing worked. I called Tracphone and they are in the process of sending me a replacement phone. I'll only be without a phone for 7-10 days. I sure hope this one works.

Phone is difficult to open. Slippery and have to use fingernail to get into the tiny groove to get it to open. Can't tell which way is up or down and have to fumble around with it to get it to open. Very unhappy with this so I returned it, without a problem, and got a much more user friendly phone.

No problem with WalMart - ordering online was painless and they emailed me when it arrived at the local store. I went to the store, identified myself, presented a printout of the email, and walked out with my Tracfone LG420G. Dealing with Tracfone was another matter. Jan 12: Using my landline, I called Tracfone to register the LG. The connection (theirs, not mine) was terrible. After a lengthy ordeal of "Huh?", "What?", and "I can't hear you", and entering several lengthy codes, I was assured the LG was registered. Jan 17: My credit card was finally charged for the plan I ordered Jan 23: Called Tracfone Customer Service because my phone was still not working. We went through another series of codes. We were almost done, but I still had no phone number. So I was asked to stand near an open window and enter even more codes to get the phone number. Eleven days after "registering", I finally had a phone that works - next to a window.
