Phone is unlocked but has AT&T logo on it. There is an AT&T website included that my mom almost signed up for. The phone was more expensive than online sources, but my mom wanted a reliable source. We are happy with the phone.
Ok, this is my fourth Samsung phone and they just keep making them better. This phone has everything you need, in my line of work I have to do lots of different things while on the go. I can complete most of my tasks on my phone. While listening to music, checking "e-mail" aka facebook, or writing up narratives for my reports. The camera is great, the system is great the only minor flaw is battery life, wish it lasted longer.
Was researching a new phone when my sweet hubby threw my iPhone in the trash at a restaurant - he was giving me that gentle push I needed to make a decision! Made the transition to Android from iOS and SO glad I did! I had a Samsung Eternity before the iPhone and it was awesome for it's time...Samsung really does a great job from design to features! Took a little getting-used to but I love love love it! I'm a Samsung girl forevermore!!
this phone does it all its better then an iphone. all the features are perfect for multitasking great camera and easy gallery with photo editor. more then enough storage and lots of accessories are compatible. great color, sound and performance. light weight perfect size not like the new ones that are way too big to be practical.
Although I have had many, many smartphones over the years, I have never had a Samsung - this is my first - and it is Terrific! Does All it is advertised to do, and many more things I did not know it could do. I use for business and personal purposes and find that it accomodates everything I need to do without any glitches. A first for any phone I have had up to now! All in all Iam extremely pleased and now a loyal Samsung Android / ATT user.
Ive been with Blackberry for 5 years and have had my share of problems. Ive had my Skyrocket for 2 days and am a total follower of Samsung and their products. This phone will SMOKE other phones in the same category. I can only imagine how seriously AWESOME the Nexus or the Note is. If your looking for an awesome smartphone, BUY the Galaxy S2 Skyrocket. You wont be sorry....Best money I have ever spent.
Although the phone is unlocked it does not give you 4G or even 3G in most T-Mobile areas. According to T-Mobile tech support this will change gradually in the next two years as their towers are being upgraded to accommodate phones bought elsewhere, but if you are looking for high speed data right now and rather not pay the higher AT&T rates you must find one with a T-Mobile logo on it. I read that you could hack the phone radio settings and make it 4G in T-Mobile but I did not want to take the risk and also void the warranty. I returned it which fortunately was easy at Walmart.
i ordered HTC vivid from the walmart before but its screen was stucked after 10 days.so i return that one and ordered this phone and now i am happy becouse its a good phone.i like to use it.
Love the feel and the look of the phone, but really wanted the other Galaxy phone that Wal Mart had on sale, however it was not compatable with AT&T Straight Talk lines, and where I am going to live, I have to have AT&T because Verizon has no service or very limited service there. Also, when my kids send me photos via text message, they don't come through and will not download, even when the kids downsize them. Otherwise, I have no complaints..... Now, just to learn to use it, LOL!
I ordered two of these for Christmas gifts using the site to store feature. When they arrived at the store, the associate opened them in front of me. One was in a skyrocket box, had been opened, had writing and white out on the inside and the accessories didn't match in color! The other one was in a generic box, had a Galaxy label on the outside, was unsecured in the box and rattling around. I did not accept the first one. The second one I decided to try, took it home, tried to charge it and was unsuccessful as it showed a big orange triangle with a line through it. Took that one back also. Was very disappointed as I'm fairly sure I was charged full retail and was sent reconditioned, previously used phones. Returned both, bought something else. Unfortunately, I didn't get to use the Skyrocket so am unable to review the phone itself.
