Peets Major Dickason works well with my espresso machine with its built-in grinder. The coffee tastes amazing.
Be a subscriber then you will get a package with a Roast Date printed on the side bottom. This means you will get freshly roasted beans within 10 days after roasting. Supermarket package no longer has a roast date, only an expiration date… about 3 months from roasting. Once you have freshly roasted beans there is no going back to Supermarket shelves for coffee.
Flew direct to Boston Fast Ferry to Provincetown. Ordered my favorite blend online to be roasted and ground fresh, shipped to my vacation spot!!! Sat at sunrise with my fresh pour at sunrise. Nothing like my favorite Peet's blend, a dark roast so smooth away from home.
I have been a Sulawesi-Kalosi Peetnik since 2009 and recently had to grab a dark roast somewhere else when we ran short . . . When I noticed that Italian Roast was actually darker, I decided to try Peet's Italian Roast and it did not disappoint. My favorite thing about Peet's is the roast date on the bag. I always know it is the freshest.
My favourite coffee and the only one I can drink black. I've been drinking Peet's coffee since our diplomatic posting in Los Angeles in 2003.
I don't drink coffee as often as the normal coffee drinker. That's probably why I'm pretty picky about what blends and brands I drink. For instance, I don't think Starbucks is worth all the hype (yea, stone me now). It's OK but not amazing. I personally love my local brand Mello Joy. However, after tasting Peet's, I've become a traitor - it is pretty amazing. Not knowing what to expect (as it goes when ordering products online) once I opened my box and smelled the coffee's aroma, I knew this coffee would be good. As it brewed, the house was filled with that rich coffee fragrance. I don't drink my coffee black but I hate weak coffee. It definitely wasn't that. Peet's brewed strong and dark. This blend is rich and complex. As you drink it, the flavors give way to different layers. It is supposed to be a breakfast blend, but honestly I like it throughout the day. It is a great dessert coffee as well. Black, or with milk, or with sugar, or with my favorite pairing - caramel macchiato creamer, it will delight your tastebuds.
This is the coffee I decided to make to show off some newly acquired barista skills. My friends were amazed and so happy to have a rich, full-bodied, slightly caramel cup of awesome they are now going to buy it as well. I compared Peet's beans against my previous brand's organic beans and it was like comparing apples to motorcycles.
Personally I love the taste of Big Bang coffee and having it for more than 5 years everyday. This was the first time that I received my coffee by mail and the quality was perceptibly lower! The coffee tasted sour which most probably means it was not freshly ground or mixed with other types.
My coffee arrived with a large gash in it, loose coffee grounds in the box.
I was so looking forward to getting this coffee today! And it was expired, by almost a month. Not cool Walmart, not cool. I would have given no stars, but I had to select one to submit.
