While we didn't use this as planned, I'm really glad I got this particular model. We are currently using it so we can hear our boys in their play room in the basement while we are on the main level. To top it off the two way talk feature is brilliant so we aren't yelling up and down the stairwell. It's been really nice to just talk to each other instead.
We bought this equipment over a month ago when we started babysitting our grandson. t has worked and saved us a lot of steps. We are retired so any steps saved are appreciated. Would highly recommend this monitor.
I like the fact that my grandson can talk to his daughter when she wakes up in the night without her wandering around in the dark alone.
my mother in law but me this one (I just wanted a basic one) and it is Great!! The volume is Great, you can either plug in the parent unit or it can run on it's own battery - I've never had it die on me and I had it unplugged almost all day. The signal is good too, I went into our basement and I still had a clear signal to his bedroom. I also shovel our driveway and I never loose connection. If you're looking for a Great, basic baby moniter. Choose this one!
I use this as an intercom for my preteen. Now, instead of hollering upstairs for him, I can use the talk feature.
Monitor worked fine for a few months but now it "unlinks" every night...about three times. It beeps when it unlinks and it always wakes me up. Very frustrating.
The idea of the night light and being able to talk back to my baby was great and that had me sold! Plus it was suppose to reach 1000 feet. Well it only reached about 200, and on the farm that doesn't even get me to the end of my driveway to get the mail. And even in the house, every few seconds the connection would quit so I couldn't hear anything. It made me nervous like maybe anytime it stopped it wouldn't reconnect. I rate this very poor in that aspect, and being able to hear your baby at all times is the most important aspect! I would not recommend spending $40 on this.
I've had nothing but trouble with both of my units. Unlinks even when I am near, dies quickly and sometimes doesn't monitor sounds at all. I've had a few instances were it's silent on the parent side, but going in to check on my child she's crying. Super untrustworthy. Can't believe I bought 2 units of this garbage.
The overall product is good however it kept disconnecting. I wouldn't hear every time that my baby would cry and we've only had this product about 2 months. I wouldn't recommend.
