OMG !!!! I couldn't wait to get to the computer to tell you how AWESOME these are. They have a texture that tastes and LOOKS like pulled pork. The sauce is outstanding. Would I recommend these to a friend??? I recommend these to the entire vegetarian world !!!!!
Delicious and full of flavor! The BBQ sauce is nice and tangy and the ribs have a wonderful texture. Try them!!
Just saw an article saying they will be back on the shelves spring 2024. i cant wait. its been five years.
Since my hus band and I do not eat meat, we tried this out and enjoyed it. it is tasty, has a little gravy with it, not bad at all.
I just tried these today and was pleasantly surprised! They are DELISH!!! I wanted something different from my usual and decided to give these a try.... WOW... the taste and texture was wonderful! I actually kept thinking this can not be fake meat! :) The bbq sauce was also just as good and I am pretty picky about my sauces. I made mine in the microwave, it only took around 3 and half minutes to be done. I know some may think that it isn't very much for the price, since there is only 2 in the box, but for me one serving size was enough with the rest of my meal. I will most certainly by these again!
Always wanted ribs and Morning Star made it happen. Unfortunately they have discontinued this product.
LOVED THESE! The sauce is great (tangy and delicious) and the "meat" is soft and lovely. I can't believe these have been discounted by Morning Star Farms (yes I contacted them after not being able to find them at my local stores).
I'm going to start out by saying that I typically hate - and I mean, HATE - anything that's trying to be meat but isn't meat. I've been a vegetarian for nearly two years and have tried almost every meat substitute on the market, and I typically end up throwing them away in disgust. 99% of the time I prefer proteins that aren't pretending to be something else - beans, seeds, nuts, edamame, tofu - Those aren't pretending to be meat. The other day, however, I saw barbecue ribs on TV and, while I'm usually pretty happy with my vegetarian diet, once in a while something like this will happen and I will seriously get in the mood for meat. So, one short trip to the store later, and I ended up with these. I'm going to be honest - I expected them to be horrible. It's worth mentioning that you only get two packets of "riblets" per box, and each packet has four "ribs" which is enough for one person, so each box basically serves two. Anyway, following the cooking instructions on the website (the box only had microwave instructions, and I'm not a fan of microwaved foods), I opened one of the packets, took out the "riblet" and sauce, and wrapped it up tightly in heavy-duty aluminum foil. I also lined the baking sheet with foil in case of leakage (which did happen). I baked it at 350F for 30 minutes, then took it out. I will say right now that I was shocked when I took that first tentative bite. The texture was spot-on and the flavor was actually good. The barbecue sauce was sweet and smoky, and the "rib" didn't have that weird, plastic, soy taste that 99% of "fake meats" have. I finished one of the little "ribs" and actually had to double-check the package to make sure it wasn't meat. It could have easily fooled me had I not known better. Upon ensuring that it was indeed vegetarian, I put the other three "ribs" and the rest of the sauce on a bun and enjoyed it that way. Yum. So basically, the one "fake meat" that I thought couldn't possibly be any good actually turned out to be the only one I've ever liked and would buy again. Go figure.
This product is delicious and healthy, high in protein. If you are craving babeque ribs, this will satisfy you.
This product is AWESOME! The sauce is delicious! Even meatlovers will love this product!
