Great but one issue....

The potty is wonderful (worked wonders with my girl) with one exception... when it came to training my boy, the urine guard is not up to standards. It comes off to easy with curious hands and doesn't provide coverage very well. In other words, when assisting with potty time, don't stand in front! Your the prime target! As long as you have the child close enough and sitting still it works. But see how well you get a two yr old to sit in an precise spot and still on top of that! I give it a 10 out of 10 for girls and a 7 out of 10 for boys.

This is a great potty. Enough bells & whistles but not TOO many to distract a child. Easy to set up.

I sprung potty training on my 20mo old with this potty. I didn't want anything with distracting features but was willing to try this even though it played music. The musical sensors are located in a perfect place where he can't push a button or so on to make it play...only by pottying. I absolutely love it. When the music plays, he jumps up and runs for hugs and praise...and boy does he get them. It's the perfect size and he's quite tall at 38in.

We have 2 of these potties. They are comfortable and the best part... no leaks! Would definitely recommend this to anyone with young children.

This potty is a great choice. My son loves the sound he gets in congratulations when he goes potty. It also grows with the child so you'll have this for a long time. It turns into a snap on to the adult toilet and it's also a step stool for your child to brush or climb on to the adult potty. I recommend this to any mom and/or dad.

Not for Boys!

I bought this potty for my little boy. As soon as he sat on it I realized it was not going to work! The splash guard kept falling down and can easily come off which is the first thing he did. Also the splash guard was way too small...I could tell right away that it wouldn't be keeping anything in the potty! We returned it the next day! This potty may work alright for girls but I wouldn't recommend it for a boy :(

Not a good potty for boys!

I have 3 sons. My youngest started potty training at 18 months. This potty chair is awful! The potty guard in front for boys is too short. Plus, every time he went to sit down on his own he knocked the potty guard down. I would have to pick him up and set him on it. Even then, he would go over the guard. This might be a good potty for girls, but not boys!!!

Not worth the trouble

I got these potty chairs in hopes that the music would encourage my now 22 month old twins. They had more fun putting their foot in the bowl to make the music go than actually sitting on the potty. Also the deflector cup kept coming off or falling back in the potty so serves no use. They also had a blast just taking the potty completely apart. Have bought them 2 much simpler potties without all the bells and whistles, but with great reviews.

The splash guard is TOO short!! And, it sticks to my son's bottom when he tries to stand. It is a pain to take apart, and clean. It isn't very sturdy...

What a Headache

Speaking from experience: I have 25 years in child care services, along with being the mother of 3 boys. I am sure there are worse pottys out there, but this one is the worse I have ever dealt with. *The deflecter cup is too short*The many parts are distracting to an active child (my son wanted to constantly tear it apart)*The seat sticks to the buttocks, making it difficult for the child to get up*The lid is not sturdy enough for a child to lean back against. I will be returning this potty to the store tomorrow for a refund. And, I will purchase the Child Matters-Once Upon a Potty, site-to-store.
