I love this product. I have a daycare and I have lots of all ages. It works with babies to toddlers. Very easy to put together and easy to change from kick toy to little desk. Highly recommend this to parents with kids from all ages.
We bought this for our son when he was 4 months old and now he is 9 months and he still plays with it. He plays with it for hours. He enjoys the music and the colors that light up. Its such a great toy and I would recommend this product.
It's been 6 yrs since I had my last child and he had a kick toy- that's what I was looking for. I was surprised to not see anything like that in the store. My new baby, only 2.5 months absolutely loves this. He's not at the stage where he holds anything but he gets really excited and kicks a lot. This fits at the end of his crib inside, which makes it extra great when I need him entertained to do a quick household chore! Only somewhat negative thing would be the music it plays is kind of loud and it doesn't have a way to adjust it.
I was really excited about this toy for my infant. When I actually got it and put it together for her I was slightly disapointed. Even though you can rotate the table for play on their backs, it still is very hard for even my 4 month old to reach the toys to interact with them. Another issue is the rotating kick plate/seat - mine gets stuck...I can not unscrew the knobs to move it so I have left it in the seat position...a minor issue...but still annoying. The most unsatisfying part is the toy is EXTREMELY loud...I have taped a thick piece of paper over the speaker and it is still very loud...way too loud for infant ears! The concept of the toy is great, it's just got a few things I wasn't totally happy with. My 4 month old daughter seems to love it though and my 3 year old son likes it too.
The screws in this product had to be put in with a drill. A regular screw driver would not work. Now it is hard to adjust the toys because the buttons keep sticking. This may be just for this one specific toy and not all of them. My 5 month however, loved it. He kicked and played with as soon as I put him under it.
I purchased this for my 5 month old daughter. She can't really reach the motion activated "kick pad," so she usually ends up kicking the toys attached to the gym. It's easier for her to use and enjoy if she's sitting up with the gym in front of her. I'm already ready to transform it from Stage 1 to Stage 2's seated activity center. I read the other reviews before I purchased this product and the parents that mentioned that the music was loud were all correct! However, the volume doesn't seem to bother my baby as much as it bothers me and her daddy. She's happy, so we're happy.
It is a great product and my 3 months old daughter seems occupied every time we put her under it but I wish there was a sensor attached to the 'Foot Kicking Area' too! I have seen something similar from the same company which had a foot kicking sensor encouraging the kid to kick that area and see the music play after every kick. But apart from that, I don't have any other complaints yet...
I got this toy for my 3 month old nephew. While he likes the lights and music a lot, the "motion activated kick pad" feature - the main reason I bought the product (he's a kicker!) - was not what I had expected. The kickpad is just a piece of plastic. To get the lights/music to go from hitting the kickpad, you have to hit it HARD, not something a 3 month old's legs can do. I thought it would have a button or sensor to activate the lights on his kick, but not so. We now have to sit next to him while he lays under it to make sure the lights and music continue, pushing keys every few seconds. Aside from the kickpad feature, I like the product as a whole and I would recommend it to others. The baby loves it and I can't wait to adapt it to the next stage when he gets a big bigger.
I received this toy as a hand down from my aunts children and thought it to be great at first. I used it when my daughter was 6 months old and with the kickboard up she just kept pushing it back so eventually I just took it off and that solved that. She seemed to like it then. When we had another child over who was a little older and wanted to stand and play with it, it was a pain to take out all the screws and have to align it right and get them back it again, not to mention that we had to do it all again to get it back so our daughter could play with it afterwards. It is loud and gets on your nerves after a few minutes of play. My daughter loves the light show so I keep letting her use it. Worth it or not? For me maybe, you I don't know.
This product is very disappointing as an infant toy. The toy is too high for baby to reach anything to activate the lights and the kickpad is completely useless. It appears to be promising once he can sit at it like a tableor use it with the craft side, but now it's taking up closet space until then!
