This is a heavy well done chair, so ergonomic that can feel better blood flow into my brain!
I have used several high-end chairs in the past but this Back-in-Motion results in outstanding comfort for an outstanding price.
I had back surgery in 1993 and now have arthritis and a bone spur in my lumbar spine. I also have a job that requires me to sit at a computer for 8 hours a day. With a normal desk chair, I was having back pain every day. I was initially skeptical of this "Back-In-Motion" chair because the back is not adjustable, but because the lumbar cushion moves with the bottom seat, your back is always supported right where it needs to be. I'm also very tall and the seat has plenty of length to support my legs and plenty of cushion and angle so as not to cut off circulation after hours of sitting. The easy movement of the seat/lumbar cushion also promotes moving my back around in the seat just enough to keep from getting stiff. This chair has ended my daily back pain issues, and I'm grateful to WalMart for stocking it at a price that I could afford. Highly recommended!
Very Nice but the seat is not quite deep enough.
I'm only a little disappointed in this chair. I went back and looked at the description and the measurements are correct with the chair looks like it has a much higher back on it and what it does. And it looks more luxurious than what I actually received. The chair is good I will not return it it's fairly comfortable But again not exactly what I was expecting. This is one of those items that I probably should've gone to the store to look at before I bought it
Brokedown quickly, and I'm 240 lbs.
The pictures and videos of this product on the website show the star base and arms as being silver. The ones that came in the box I received have a horribly, depressing ugly green tint to them -- a color green I would never choose for anything. If I had known it had a green tint to it, I wouldn't have bought the chair. Honestly, this ruins the entire chair. Maybe I'll paint it or something but I wish they would have indicated that the base and adjustable arms had a green tint to them on the website instead of giving me the impression that it was silver as the images and videos show. Very disappointed -- ruins the entire look of the room it's in. It's so out of place. Bad. Very bad.
First off the positive, this chair has a very good leather finish with nice looking stitching, the chair looks super and seems to be very durable, as a matter of fact it would be perfect if it didn't have the back in motion, which is really seat/lumbar in motion, and had a truly adjustable lumbar. The negatives, the lumbar is not adjustable and is fixed to the base seat pad at a rigid 90 degrees approximately. What makes this absolutely horrible is that the base seat pad, what you sit your butt on rocks front to back and you can't set its tilt or stop it from moving. I have a bad back and due to this and the fact that the lumbar drives you forward with the seat actually hurt my back, I couldn't sit in this chair for any amount of time without severe pain. Also the seat height at its lowest setting was still a bit high for me, and that's a first of all the chairs I've ever owned. If the lumbar would have been a part of the seat back and the base seat didn't freely move at whim I would have kept this chair even with it a bit high for my normal seating position but unfortunately I was forced to return this chair. To bad because it has a lot of potential and is very attractive too.
The pole in the chair goes too far down so the height of the chair is not as high as I need it. There is definitely a malfunction with this chair and I can't get the pole back off the chair now to adjust it. I believe there is a part missing but, it is not listed. There is nothing to keep the pole from slipping further now in the hole. I compared it to my old chair and that pole does go down as far. Check out the base of the chairs in the pictures provided.
The lumbar Support is attached to the bottom seat cushion. Hurts your back. If you even remotely tilt forward this lumbar support moves forward and bends the back in a terrible position. The back rest is very short and no ability to just rest your head back which is terrible for long long long days in front of the computer. These two things will make you exhausted sitting which is the reverse of what is necessary. Sorry, this is a hard pass computer desk chair and being returned... Assembly isn't terrible at 30 minutes or so.... Thought this looked like a huge back, WRONG. 5'10" and barely supports my shoulders... Terrible product design... Only reason why I bought was tired of the bonded leather which does not last at all...
