I made chocolate pies for holidays, and I tried a cheaper brand and I had several remarks about the pies not tasting as good as they usually do. I buy Jell-O brand now in the Cook & Serve now every time.
I usually make my own pudding but for my mother who likes Jell-o pudding I always keep some in the cupboard pantry. Cook and serve is far superior to instant and heads above of the snack pack version. Take the time and make it yourself. Using the microwave saves the stirring for 5 minutes and scorching which is what used to happen when my sister made it on the stove. Comes out perfect every time.
Best pudding is cooked. Not the little cups.
I have used Jello cook and serve puddings for many, many years. It always turns out perfect. I use my microwave to cook it and don't have to stand and stir for so long. Only have to stir a couple times during cooking. Love the taste of cook and serve and it makes a great pie, just top with your favorite as I use cool whip! Great.
The only way to eat pudding is cook and serve...Sure you have to constantly stir the pot from lighting the stove until boil...............but its worth it. The smoothness of the pudding is wonderful. And Grandma......sorry but that beautiful skin on top of the pudding was not your secret....I have mastered it as well... with Cook and Serve Pudding
This pudding comes out thick and creamy. It has to be brought to a boil with milk, stirring constantly for 3 minutes, but worth the time. Next time I'll try making it in microwave. This is the only pudding my family will eat.
i didn't receive my pudding tonight from delivery
The formula has definitely changed since my childhood. The pudding is lighter in color than it used to be, and it is neither sweet nor chocolaty. It is revolting. I will never buy it again.
Could have been substituted with 2 boxes of the 3 oz pudding cook and serve. Guess you are not checking your possible substitutes any longer. Awful.
This has happened twice now, at 2 different Walmart stores. The pudding tastes good. however, I'm not impressed with how this product is packaged. Another box I have to throw away. 😠
