I bought this scrubber to clean the siding and decks on my house - I love it!! - I was able to get everything scrubbed in one day!!! - - The only issue I had was that the battery didn't last all day = so if you don't have another battery from a drill or tool - it would be worth the $25 to invest in another battery - I haven't used it to wash my vehicle yet - but I'm sure I'll be just as pleased.
Excellent for the following: 1. Washing the top of hard to reach areas of an SUV and comes with a special auto brush head for that purpose. 2. Good for washing high house windows and comes with extension pole. 3. Good scrubber for the pool as the brush head is watertight for submerging. Uses the same 18v battery pack as other B&D cordless electric products so batteries are interchangeable and I found that if you have a B&D pole saw, you can actually extend this product even higher than advertised by just adding another extension piece if you need to wash windows on a high 2 story house (how neat!). Now I just need a boat so I can use it on that (Santa, that's your cue).
We installed a deck last year at this time and neglected cleaning the house siding under the deck until I purchased the power scrubber. I pre-soaked with a siding cleaner for power washers and let the scrubber do its thing. The extra extension handles were real good for the higher areas meaning I didn't need to drag out the ladder. Its very easy to handle and I like the total of two extension handles. I have other B&D 18 volt products so having adequate power supply was no problem. I would buy again!
This unit is well made, waterproof, and safe to use in an operating fountain basin. The brushing action is about what should be expected for battery power but not nearly as much as an AC powered brush. Neither the soft auto brush nor the general purpose brush provided is stiff enough for most purposes, although it is easier to remove lightly adhering, underwater algae using this tool than the alternative of scrubbing by hand
I mainly ordered this product to clean the roof of my RV. And for that purpose its great. Much easier than a bunch of trips up and down the ladder. Its not very heavy and I was easily able to maneuver it. I was a little disappointed when I used it to clean the rest of the van. It missed spots didn't scrub as well as if I'd washed it by hand. I ended up re-washing the van with a rag. So it was great for what I bought it for but it was a little expensive and didn't perform as well for the rest of the cleaning.
The B & D Power Scrubber is a good value. Light-weight, relatively well constructed. I have only used it for a brief time, but it appears to meet all my excpectations. The acdcessories included are ample and the extenders provide plenty of 'reach.' Construction quality and materies are adequate, but not great...but what do you excpect for $100 these days? I would recommend this product to others.
The power scrubber is a versatile tool. I've used it for everything from washing the RV to cleaning the shower. I like the extensions but wish they were telescoping instead of having to add and remove them. The only other negative I can think of is I wish it had a little more power. The brush doesn't rotate as fast as I would like but then again that's true for just about all battery operated tools. Overall I'm happy with it and like the design & versatility.
I bought this to help clean my windows and siding on the house. I had to repeat several steps to really get them clean. For the price i would not buy this again. I found that at $12 bottle of Deck cleaner-(which is a excellent cleaning agent for dirt and mold) and a water hose did a better job.
First it only extends to 9' (as stated in the manual)not 14' as advertised. It can take 3 to 9 hours to recharge the battery. Strongly recommend a second battery and battery charger. Balance could better when using both extensions. Really needs more power. Used to wash the siding on my house did an ok job. Don't know to really recommend or not.
I have almost the entire collection of B&D 18 volt products. I have been very happy with all of them. However, I was disappointed with the power scrubber. It just doesn't have any power at all. I don't know why it comes with 2 brushes, it says one is for harder surfaces and one for soft surfaces...but there doesn't seem to be any difference when using the brushes...they feel the same to the touch. It's no match for a scrub brush and a little elbow grease...not much elbow grease needed to outperform the power srubber.
